"Insane, inside the danger gets me high. Can't help myself got secrets I can't tell.

I love the smell of gasoline. I light the match to taste the heat.

I've always liked to play with fire."

After finding the evidence in the underground parking lot, Changbin met his partner and Christopher at the building entrance. That was the first and only trail of the criminal they found so far, but once they got it, it would be easier to find the person. Or so they hoped.

Changbin called for reinforcements to make a more accurate search in the crime scene, so they could try to find more evidence there. Outside the building, the man showed Felix the piece of cloth he found, inside a ziplock bag.

"She must have dropped it while running away."

The younger carefully observed the content inside the bag. Besides the ashes, it looked like a delicate item that wouldn't be just thrown away. But something in what his partner said made him think twice.

"Wait, hyung, who said it was a she?"

"Actually, I... I don't know. For some reason, I just assumed it belongs to woman. It's a satin ribbon, after all."

Felix just nodded in agreement, and handed the bag back to his partner. Changbin had more experience than him with investigation, so the man thought he probably should be right in that point too.

"Alright, so I'll take it to the forensics, and call you when I have news about it."

Said that, Changbin got inside his car and started driving back to the police station. The forensics team would have to examine the evidence and search for any sort of information from the person who left it.

Stopping on a red light, the investigator looked at the plastic bag on the passenger seat. He was still confused about the scent he felt in the cloth, and it made him create two theories in his head: a) whoever had that used the same cologne as Seulgi; b) he was hallucinating. Both were plausible for him, but a proper exam would determinate that.

After leaving the material with the specialist, Changbin spent the day looking over and over again through all the documents from the prior arson cases. Although nothing seemed to be related to that white ribbon. Around 10 pm, without any improvement on his research, he decided to call it a day and go home.

Inside the house's door, Changbin took off his shoes and turned on the lights. "I'm back."

No answer, of course. He lived alone.

The man left his keys and belongings on the kitchen table and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. He still had the smell of smoke on his clothes. Stripping out of the dirty clothes, Changbin turned on the shower and got under the warm water, just letting it run past his tense body. With his eyes closed, the man remembered the day's episodes. It was a tough day.

Changbin laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling in the dark. He couldn't take that ribbon out of his mind. Rolling on his side, the man caught his phone on the bedside table and went through the gallery to look at the pictures he took earlier that day.

It was just an innocent piece of white cloth. Why would a criminal carry something like that? It looked so chaste. Changbin sighed, then turned off his phone's screen and closed his eyes for a moment. He should start trying to sleep soon, once the following day would probably be busier.
