Later that night.... Charles, Oliver, and Mabel got back to the Arconia only find police cars and an ambulance outside the building. The trio had no idea what was happening why people aren't allowed to enter the building yet. Charles spotted Lester the doorman at one of the crowd and asked about what happened.
CHARLES: Lester, what the hell?
LESTER: Found someone dead.
Charles, Oliver, and Mabel gasped from the shocking news.
CHARLES: What?!
OLIVER: You're kidding me?!
LESTER: 9th floor. Can't let anyone in.
CHARLES: We can't go to our apartments?
LESTER: No, sir. Sorry.
Lester left the trio to check on the other people.
OLIVER: Did he say the 9th floor?
MABEL: Yeah.
CHARLES: I could get us in the freight elevator, just to take a peek.
OLIVER: Just to see what's happening.
MABEL: Okay, but we should take it to 8.
OLIVER: Why?
MABEL: They'll have cops posted on 9.
OLIVER: Ooh, you're good.
Inside the building..... police officers were at the 9th floor where the murder has been committed. Detective Williams was the person in charge of the crime scene.
DETECTIVE WILLIAMS

WILLIAMS: What do we have?
(cop): Homicide, from the looks of it. A single gunshot to the head and.... oh, god! It looks like someone cut his face off!
Williams spotted the victim's corpse with gunshot through the head and parts of its face missing. It was Tim Kono.
WILLIAMS: Oh, fuck. That can't be good. Do you have any ID of the victim?
(cop): Yes we do. The victim's name is Tim Kono.
Williams also noticed that there were new police officers entering the crime scene.
WILLIAMS: Why didn't the department tell us that we new recruits.
(cop): They're not with us.
The new police officers were from the Gotham City Police Department and with them was James Gordon.
