Reanna's P.O.V
It was a Sunday morning when the first task was held. I had met up with Abi a few times this past week and she told me she was fine. I walked down to the outdoor grounds of Hogwarts, with Prashu and Sophia by my side. Fred and George were walking in front of us, a box of money in their hands, asking people for bets. I couldn't see Ginny anywhere, even though she told me that she would be here. We found a seat in the crowd and sat down. I hoped that the task wouldn't be too dangerous. I mean Harry and Abi were only 14 for god's sake!A whistle sounded and then a dragon stumbled down into the enclosure. I gasped, a hand flying up to cover my mouth. They were going to face dragons! I recognised the first one. It was the Swedish Short-Snout. It had silvery blue scales and usually lived in the inhibited mountains of Sweden. Cedric stepped out from the entrance and stood in front of his dragon. I crossed my fingers together hoping for the best. The Short-Snout let out a roar and blue flames emitted from its mouth, and Cedric dodged it, the flame barely missing his shoulder.
"Oooh, narrow miss there, very narrow." Ludo Bagman said, from the commentary stand.
Cedric crouched behind a rock, and waved his wand at a rock near his dragon. It turned into a dog. More specifically, a labrador. The Labrador started running around, the Short-Snout chasing after it. Cedric seized this opportunity to grab the golden egg, from the nest of eggs which was underneath the dragon.
"He's taking risks, this one!" Bagman exclaimed, his commentary going on.
Cedric grabbed the egg, but the dragon, who had now decided he didn't want the labrador, blew a spout of flame at Cedric. The flame caught at his arm, and he narrowly missed the next flame, before the keepers of the dragons came and hauled the Short-Snout back to where it came from.
A loud roar went up in the crowd and I clapped and cheered very hard for Cedric. He had made it through. He was injured but he had gotten past the dragon.
"Very good indeed!" Bagman was shouting. "And now the marks from the judges!"
Each judge, the heads of the three schools and Barty Crouch himself, shot a number into the air. More cheers came from the crowd.
"One down, three to go!" Bagman yelled as the whistle blew again. "Miss Delacour, if you please!"
The dragon was already there, growling. It was a Common Welsh Green. It was green in colour and had two horns at the top of its head.
Fleur emerged, head held high, wand in hand. She found a place for cover from the dragon's flame and shot a spell at the Welsh Green. It missed and it angered the Welsh Green more, causing her to duck behind a rock, to avoid a large spurt of flame.
"Oh I'm not sure that was wise!" Bagman said.
Fleur moved closer to the dragon, still under cover and shot a spell at the dragon again. It missed. Again.
"Oh...nearly! Careful now...good lord, I thought she'd had it then!" Bagman shouted.
Finally, Fleur's spell hit the Welsh Green. It went into a sort of daze and then slumped to the floor. It wasn't dead. You could hear the dragon's snoring. She had sent it to sleep! Fleur raced to where the eggs were and grabbed the golden one.
Suddenly, the Welsh Green let out a snore and her skirt caught fire. Fleur shrieked and quickly put it out with some water from her wand. The dragon was dragged out of the area once again as the crowd around me erupted into applause. I clapped too.
A Chinese Fireball appeared and Bagman's voice rang out.
"And here comes Mr. Krum!"
Krum emerged and took no hesitation before casting a spell at the dragon. It hit the dragon straight in the eye.
