We had dresses. We had makeup. All we needed now were dates. Sat in the Gryffindor common room, me and Mione were discussing who we could ask. There were so many options. By the time we had decided we were gonna wait for someone to ask us, everyone in the common room had already gone to bed. We headed up to bed ready and excited for the weekend ahead.
I woke up Saturday morning feeling horrid. i took some pain relief and went back to sleep. An hour later, Hermione was on my bed nagging me to get up. I rolled out of bed, got dressed and went with Mione to meet amber.
Sat in the courtyard, we all conversated the nights plans. None of us had dates but we didn't care. As we were about to go to our dorms, Draco and Blaise approached us. WOW. Okay I take it back about him being full of himself. He was pretty cute! Before any of us could speak Blaise piped up. "uh, can we speak to Amber and Merliah?" I nodded at Mione and she shuffled over to a forgetful Gryffindor named Neville. "so what do you want?" amber asked hesitantly. "well i wanted to ask you amber, will you go to the ball with me?" Blaise asked nervously. "And Merliah, will you go with me?" Okay, Draco was so sweet. in the few months we had been at Hogwarts, Draco had matured so much, well all except his hatred for Harry. Amber looked at me, with excitement in her eyes. "Yes yes yes, a thousand times yes!!" We both scream in unison.
As we started walking up towards the main hall, Hermione came bounding up to us. She told us that Dean Thomas had came up to her and asked her to the ball. She was so ecstatic.
Due to the boys being in Slytherin dorms to get ready, the girls decided to get ready in the Gryffindor's dorms. We got our dresses and makeup out and went to have baths.
Amber was curling Mione's hair and i was on makeup. She had a topaz dress with heels to match. Her hair was going up into a curled high ponytail. Ambers dress was an emerald green and she had black flats. Her hair was in a tight bun and she had a beautiful green eyeshadow covering her eyes. My hair had been straightened and fell just below my shoulders. Half my hair was strung up in a delicate braid. My dress was a deep purple strapless and i had purple and black stilettos. My eyes exploded with purple and silver whereas my lips were clear and shiny, illuminating my smile.
The ball was nearing. Nerves overtook my excitement and soon enough i became restless. "Babes. Calm down love, you looks stunning.!" Amber reassured me. 8pm came and we left the girls dormitories. Walking down the stairs, heads flew towards us. Ron and Harry Gasped. "Woah!" Ron breathed overtaken. "You girls look amazing!" Harry commented. Cant lie to you, we did look pretty great.
We took the slow route to the great hall. Amber and Hermione talking about their families. They missed them dearly. I did too even though my dad was a teacher, I rarely ever saw him since he was always teaching or with the other professors.
