Draco pulled his lips from mine, a wide smile across his face. I giggled, shocked at what had happened. He looked at the watch on his wrist, turns to me and frowns. "I've got to go." He says coldly and walks away swiftly.

What the fuck was that!!!

I found my way back to the Gryffindor common room and inside sat by the fire was harry and Ron. They both smiled at me and told me to join them. I jumped onto the sofa in between the two boys. I was still upset about Draco thing but the boys soon distracted me with other things.

The holidays had come and the castle was decorated in the most festive colours i had ever seen; it was a dream come true. Outside, snow was falling, hitting our common room windows. It was magical. In my mind, the thoughts of the loneliness in the common room was horrible but now we were here, it wasn't so bad. Harry and Ron were actually really good company and it was surprisingly enjoyable. Dad didn't seem to be around much, I just assumed he was spending time with the professors.

My mind was exploding. What did he mean with his cold tone? He wouldn't even speak to me! It was even Christmas eve and Amber was snuggled up in Hermione's bed. We had decided that we would stay in the Gryffindor dorms since it meant spending the morning with Harry and Ron. Part of the decision was due to Ambers threats to rip Malfoy's voice box out. I kinda wanted to see that though. I tried to forget the blonde haired boy until my eyes drooped and I fell into a deep slumber.

The room swirled around me, voices projecting themselves into the air. Amber was laughing and cackling alongside Draco. Harry was holding me back from them as Ron was trying to slam Parkinson into a wall. In the corners of my eye, i could see Dad on the floor, his lifeless body limp and cold as it stood over him. Tears streamed down my face. What was happening? My screams pierced the air as if the life was being taken from me.

I heard an evil chuckle from behind me as we spun around to face the hidden beast. A gasp came from behind me as Harry saw the face hidden beneath the cloak. Him; The Dark Lord, alive and well. My heart felt as though it had dropped out of my chest. He raised his wand at me and darkness overtook me.

I slammed my body upright as I gasped for breath. Amber grabbed me and engulfed me in a hug. I was drenched head to toe in sweat. "It was just a dream Merliah" Amber whispered to me. I couldn't speak, move, I couldn't do anything. The common room door slammed open and in rushed Harry panting for breath. Behind him was my dad, messy haired and clearly tired. He rushed over to me and held me in his arms.

"I hope it was okay I sent Harry to get your dad, we could all hear you screaming and no one could wake you up. I'm sorry Merliah I hope you forgive me!" she exclaimed flustered. "of course it was okay Amb, I needed it" I replied. I wasn't mad at her for getting dad. I was happy they did.

"Hey my darling girl. Did you have another nightmare?" My dad knew of the nightmares I could get. Most of all I was his girl and he was always there for me. All I could do was nod. He handed me a chocolate frog and a gift wrapped in tartan paper. "Merry Christmas Merliah, I love you" I smiled and thanked him. He stayed with me until I was ready to sleep whilst the boys set up camp on the floor, to make sure i was okay.
