I woke up to a loud crash.

Shooting up from my bed, a loud scream pierced the air of the dormitory.

"OWWWWW"

Oh crap. I forgot the boys stayed in my dorm last night. The shout had come from Ron, hitting his head on my bed post. This made everyone burst into laughter; not only for Ron's pain but also the fact it was Christmas morning at Hogwarts.

The Gryffindor dorm was decorated in vast Christmas colours illuminating our house colour too. Today was a day for friends and family. After waking up a bit more, and laughing at Ron's clumsiness, we headed down to the common room to find it stacked with presents. My face lit up at the sight.

Everyone got so many presents. From Amber, I received a silver pendant which flickered from a evil green serpent to a fierce red lion. Ron had gotten me my favourite sweets whilst Harry had brought me a Gryffindor scarf and woolly hat. Hermione's gift has been left under the tree, and inside it contained a book on spells and a box of butterbeer. Dad had spoilt me rotten, with new clothes, jewellery, makeup, shoes, books and plenty of chocolate. My friends were the greatest.

Due to the special day, we were served breakfast in the common room. Every student that hadn't gone home for the holidays had squished into the common room sofas. We all piled our plates high with the luxurious food in front of us. We spent most of the morning and the fair part of the afternoon playing games between the four of us. I beat harry and amber at wizards chess, while Ron beat me. We had played a few rounds of a bertie botts game too.

When the time for Christmas lunch arrived, we all filed down to the great hall. The ceiling was not of stars but of snowflakes, adding just the right touch to the atmosphere. The four house tables had disappeared and smaller tables were placed in a square. The students left at Hogwarts piled in and sat down, as did the faculty. Dad had sat on one side of me and all my friends on the other.

As the food began to be served, Dad grabbed onto my hand under the table. He looked at me and gave me a small smile. "You okay honey?" he asked me quietly. I turned and smiled widely at him. "Yeah I am. Last night was rough but I had you there so it was okay." My voice was a hushed whisper so students didn't hear my conversation. Dad chuckled lightly at this. "You know I will always be there for you my darling girl." He stated squeezing my hand tightly. I smiled back at this. We carried on a conversation and soon joined in with other peoples too. The dinner was amazing, food was piled in front of us. We most definitely didn't hold back and pigged away at the delicious meal.

Hogwarts at night was so beautiful, with dimmed lights and ghosts flying around. It was so pretty just to walk around it. And. Well that was exactly what me and dad did for the evening. We hadn't done it in so long so it was so nice to be able to spend some quality time with each other. Especially at Christmas. The starry night was glistening though the windows of the castle as we walked and talked about everything.

Once i was back in the safety of the dormitory, i couldn't help but think of that blonde boy. I wondered what his Christmas was like. I wanted answers to his reasons for treating me like that.
