This was my new home and that's all that was on my mind. After living here for a few months, I had neglected to meet anyone. I had mostly kept to myself but I enjoyed coming up to my apartment after hitting the gym in the early morning. It always gave me a chance to unwind and get a jump start on my day. Today my morning was unfolding as it normally would, that is until I miscalculated my step and tripped causing me to collide with a tall unknown figure.

Furthermore, I had no idea that this single moment would change everything for me. I stumbled forward only recovering my balance as this figure grasped my wrist firmly. "Hey, are you okay?" A deep husky voice asked. I was afraid to open my eyes and see who it belonged to with the most natural desire to hide from embarrassment. Taking a tumble down the stairs couldn't be too bad. "Hi! Yes!... I'm fine, thank you" I quickly replied straightening up as he released me.

My eyes met his, and I knew this was no ordinary person at least not to me. He was tall and very handsome. He knew it, the way his bronze eyes twinkled with amusement said it all. But to make it all worse, he offered a heart-fluttering smirk that danced along his full lips. It only made me wish we had met in different circumstances. Falling down the stairs was starting to seem more plausible.

" Hello? Is everything okay? " he teased waving his hand in front of my face. I blushed quickly darting my gaze. While trying to regain my composure and not blush anymore, I started trying to think of something to say back. This, however, only caused me to stutter incoherent sentences. I hadn't realized I had stared long enough for him to notice. "I'm fine, everything is fine. Thank you for everything. If I can ever help you, or... you know, repay the favor, please let me know. I'm 363." I stuttered out. His smile grew as he closed the space between us leaning down near my ear.

" Well, nice to meet you 363 but as much as I would love to chat I was on my way out but I'll see you around. Don't forget to return the favor, I'll be needing one alright?" I looked back up at his playful gaze as he let the words leave his mouth before winking as he walked away. In a matter of seconds, he was here and now he had vanished. He was too close considering he was a stranger, not that I completely minded the proximity. Despite my stomach filling with butterflies, it wasn't an unpleasant interaction. The only thing I didn't like as I accepted my interaction was that while it lasted no more than seconds, it was lasting longer in my mind. I shook my head in disbelief before quickly reaching to open my door. I had no time to think about this but somehow it had infiltrated my mind and was all I could think about.
