After seeing Robbie in the morning I didn't see him again. I was focused on gathering an idea of the campus and where the best study spots were. I looked to find where the most reclusive spots and the quickest routes around. Even with so many things I was juggling in my mind I was still thinking about Robbie. There were so many questions and plenty of answers that I was seeking. While I sat in the school coffee shop there was a flyer being given around for a big frat party. Apparently, it was a big deal to celebrate the first day. Honestly, I wondered if Robbie would be there. Did he go to these things? Was he a party guy? He was quite charming as a matter of fact Robbie could have a girlfriend and I wouldn't even know!

.......................

I am normally not one for parties but this was college and I decided letting loose couldn't be too bad. The party was at one of the frat houses and everyone was invited. This was an opportunity to get to know people, and why not have a bit of fun too? To sit around obsessing over Robbie was a bit creepy and it's not like he was the only guy I hardly knew anything about him. It was too early to limit my options.

The apartment was full of ravening people. All drunk or tipsy. The music echoed loudly as the words reverberated through the floor. With each step, you could detect the energy in the room. I could feel the life that was all around me. Then I filled a red cup with the pink mixture. After a couple of sips, I could feel my blood racing and the music made me want to move. I wanted to dance in the crowd while forgetting everything. I walked into the crowd and started dancing, letting loose. There were no worries, I was free. I swayed and jumped and let the music fuel my every move. I felt tiny beads of sweat on my forehead as I moved amongst the crowd. I had not felt this free in a while like there was not a single care in the world.

I could feel each drink make me let go, everything that had once been on my mind was gone, and all I could think about was the looseness of my body and how the music filled my body with life.

As the song changed a tall figure approached me grabbing my waist, forcing me to turn. "Hey !" I shrieked. His hands tightened. "C'mon honey I can make you feel all kinds of pleasant things," he slurred. Pressing against me. Who was this guy? What was he thinking, I thought. Struggling to get out of his grasp, I pushed at him. I had been having a good time but now I could only feel fear, I could hardly push him off and who would hear me if I screamed? The next best choice was kicking him but right before I had a chance I was suddenly watching him get slammed against the wall behind him.

A much taller and more powerful figure now towered over him. I stumbled back watching fear take over his face. His red eyes widened in response to the figure that stood in between him and him. "Santorellis I'm sorry man I didn't know she was with you!" He cried anxiously. Santorellis? I stepped closer and noticed the guys standing next to the Santorellis guy. I didn't know anyone named Santorellis but his figure was familiar. He mumbled something before letting the guy go. Whatever he said made the guy run into the crowd. The two guys beside the Santorellis fellow followed behind. The Santorellis figure turns to face me. That is when I realized who he was, "Robbie?"

His eyes softened but the intensity did not fade as he stepped closer. "Darcy did he touch you before I came, did he do anything to you?" He asked after taking a breath. I shook my head shocked at what I had seen. "Darcy you need to be careful! Creeps like that are everywhere!" He exclaimed. I nodded still alarmed. It only put me in a daze smelling the sweet cologne he wore as he closed the distance between us. His look soften as he put his hand on my shoulder." I'm sorry I just didn't want anything to happen I got worried" he whispered leaning into my ear. "Thank you," I replied, smiling at him in return.

He led me out of the crowd as he grabbed a red cup off the counter. I was still asking myself questions.  But my mind failed me in providing me with answers "why was that guy scared of you?" I finally asked. Robbie looked at me nervously. "Well you know he knew he was doing something wrong I'm sure and I caught him by surprise," he said.

There was something about this that made him uneasy. I had seen him before and he was not so disheveled. He always seemed composed and in control but not right now.

I poured myself a pink concoction and drank it. My face flushed from the alcohol and the warmth in the room. "Robbie can we get some air" I mumbled lightly tripping. He nodded grabbing my arm with support as we stepped out to the hall. He looked down at me "I think you drank a bit too much Darcy, or you have very low tolerance" I smiled playfully taking a seat with him on a bench outside. People were scattered all over the lawn as the cold air blew loudly.

His bronze curls pushed back by his hand filled my stomach with butterflies. He smiled softly before pressing my head against his shoulder silently and placing his Jacket over my shoulders.
