"What do you think?" Alessandra calls out to Eliza as she analyzes herself in the mirror.

"It's not too much is it?" she questions.

"No, it's perfect. You look lovely, your gra- I mean Alessandra." she replies.

Alessandra lets out a chuckle catching Eliza's mistake.

She had told the brunette to stop calling her by her title since they would be getting to know each other on a personal level.

"Thank you. You look beautiful too." she tells her.

A slight blush makes its way to Eliza's face as she accepts the compliment.

"Are you ready to go? The ball starts in five minutes." she reminds Alessandra.

"I am but wouldn't it be fun to be fashionably late?" Alessandra questions.

She knew her tardiness would piss off her father so she thought why not be late.

"But-" Eliza tries to interject but shuts up once she sees the look Alessandra gives her.

"We will take the long way to the ballroom." Alessandra announces leading the two out of her room.

"Guards." Alessandra greets the men outside her room as they follow closely behind her and Eliza.

The men had quickly taken a liking to the blonde.

She acknowledged their presence which was more than they could say about the king.

Some of them have been around long enough to still remember what she looked like in her younger days when she still resided at the place with the late Queen Irene.

Boy had time changed since then.

When they finally made it into the ballroom all the guests stopped what they were doing to bow as Alessandra made her way in.
