Y/N woke up, her head feeling like it had just been hit by an ax straight in the middle.

Yawning, The girl stretch my arms as she pushed the blanket away and got out of bed.

More yawns came out as she tried to focus my vision. Stumbling over to her organized desk and brushed her soft fingertip across her dry lips.

Slowly she began to pick on them, wincing a bit and squinting her eyes. She pulled a big one today as she quickly tasted the metallic liquid. The girl quickly grab a tissue from the tissue box and wiped the blood from her lips.

She fiddled with the tissue for a bit before sighing and throwing it on the desk. She looked over to her water bottle and decided to finish half of it left before grabbing her phone from charging.

Cherry Balm.

Y/N ran down the stairs, shoving her phone into her bag, she looked around her living room to see her dad and Beth still hasn't come

Y/N ran down the stairs, shoving her phone into her bag, she looked around her living room to see her dad and Beth still hasn't come. She frowned, she still had at least 500 bucks left to last her for a week. So they'll probably be gone for another week, she hoped.

She was getting concerned. Usually, they'd be gone for 3 days maximum. She's been getting suspicious of the fact her father left her 600 bucks. Usually, he'd just leave a 100. They won't leave her, right? She hated them but she doesn't wanna be an orphan.

She might be looking into this too deep. She sighed as she exits the apartment and began to make her way to the Gallagher's.

She knocked on their door and Carl was the one who opened it. "Hey." She breathes. He smiled at her. "Hey."

They ended up in Claire's, believe it or not, they have a really good variety of lip balms. But Y/N only wanted cherry. Maybe peach too.

Carl stood behind her awkwardly looking around the sunshine and rainbow filled Claire's. A place where he didn't belong. Everyone was blonde and 9.

Carl tapped his foot, as he observed the lined lip balms. It was a lot. Ranging from chocolate-flavored ones to even donut-flavored lip balms.

Y/N finally found what she was looking for, she took two of the balm she chose and turned around. She tugged onto Carl's sleeves, "Got it. Need anything?" She smiled.

"It's Claire's. I don't think I need anything here." He answered. Y/N rolled her eyes with a smirk, "Alright, Alright."

They made their way to the counter and Y/N noticed some chocolate bars. She took two of them and paid for her products.

The two exits the place and their eyes quickly dart to a familiar face across them. Anthony and another girl, different from the brunette they met back where Carl worked at.

And they were making out, so close to getting naked in the middle of the mall.

"Oh my god. He has no shame." Y/N scoffed bitterly. She kind of found it funny though, she found the whole idea of Anthony hilarious. She quickly got over him knowing he wasn't worth it, he never even did anything good to Y/N that was worth her tears.

Carl laughed and Y/N joined as security made his way to Anthony and his new redhead chick.

They gave each other looks that made them crack even more.

They began to walk off to a nearby ice cream parlor laughing their asses off.

"After you." Carl points. Y/N gave him a humorous look. "What d'ya want. It's on me." She winked. Carl's heart skipped a bit at the wink and he stammered, "A-Anything's fine."

Y/N nods, "Strawberry?" she suggests. "Yeah. Sure." He was a blushing mess. Y/N just chuckled at this.

"I'll have a strawberry in a cone and strawberry in a cup."

-

Carl held Y/Ns purchase in his free hand as his other held his ice cream cone. He liked strawberry, safe to say, it was his feel-good flavor. Y/N ate hers quietly as they walked out of the mall.

The two were in a comfortable silence as they enjoyed their treat.

"So, how's your dad?" Carl asked. Y/N frowned a bit, "He's still not there." She mumbled enough for him to hear. He nods, "I'm getting worried. They never last long away from here. Plus he left 600 bucks." Y/N said. "600 is a little bit suspicious." He commented. "Right." Y/N agreed.

Carl tried to lighten her mood up, "Don't worry. They'll be back in a week." He gave a genuine smile.

Y/N nods, giving a soft smile. She hoped they will be back in a week.

They made their way to the park they hung out in yesterday.

They sat at the bench, admiring the sunset.

Their calm breathing and the comfortable aura around them made Y/N melt. She found herself staring at him who played with the zipper of his jacket.

He felt someone staring at him and caught Y/N staring at him.

She didn't even flinch and look away, she just gave a dreamy smile at him and he felt his heart stop and butterflies erupt.

Unconsciously, he smiled back, melting into her gaze.

She leaned in quick and they were caught up on each other's lips. Melting into the warmth of the dawn and each other's lips. Carl cups her cheeks as she wraps her arms around his neck. The kiss was soft, gentle, and passionate. Everything they wish they could've said and done, they managed to share just from that kiss.
