(Kwazii's P.O.V.)

"Barnacles!" I yelled, starting to pull against the people holding me back again.

They didn't seem to mind that I was screaming and bawling my eyes out at the same time.

"Barnacles!" I shouted again.

He was going to die if Grim didn't help him.                                              What if Grim just left him there to die?
"Let me go!" I said, trying to pull away from the hold I was in.

"Sorry, we can't do that," One of them said.

"But they're going to kill him, he's going to die!" I cried.

They didn't care, I had no reason to tell them.

Maybe they already knew that Grim was going to kill him. They all seemed like loyal pawns.

"Grim wouldn't drag him all the way out here just to kill him," The second guy said.

They knew Grim better than I did, so maybe it wasn't a bad idea to believe them.

"And you're sure?" I asked quietly.

The guy just nodded.

We had all stopped walking, but I couldn't force myself to move.

Still, I wasn't going to let them tug me away.

I pulled my arms away from their grip. They reached out again, trying to make sure I didn't try and run back to Barnacles.

I backed away from their grasp, then stood silently for a second, starting to cry again.

I'll get him back. I can't now, but I'll get him back.

I wanted him back, but for now, I had to go home.

As I drove the gup-A back towards the octopod, I decided to call Shellington, and explain the situation to him.

But when Shellington did pick up, I was so frazzled and afraid that it all just came out a jumbled mess.

"Shelly! It's Barnacles, something happened, and now he's been captured, and I-I-I don't know what to do -"I cried out.

My voice sounded much louder in the small lonely space of the gup.

I didn't want to be the only person in the gup.

"Kwazii, calm down! Just breathe for a minute, okay?" Shellington said, attempting to get me to calm down so that he could get the full story in a real sentence.

I took a deep breath and attempted to fully explain the situation in a calmer manner.

When I did finally figure out how to breathe, it was shaky, and I had to stop myself from crying out again.

I took another deep breath, and started again.

"Okay, when we got there, these people said that it was either me or Barnacles who had to stay with them for leaving the phone there or something. Of course, Barnacles put himself in the position of captive, and now he's stuck there!" I said, trying to keep my voice as stable as possible, tears still rolling down my face.

Shellington paused for a moment to process and then asked, "And where are you?"

I stopped, thinking.

"O-On my way back to the octopod," I said with shame.

I felt horrible about leaving Barnacles with those people.
