Ezra's Mother

The next day I drive over to Ezra's before my mother can wake up just to make sure that I don't have to talk to her in case she knows.

I unlock the door as see Ezra talking to a woman about twice his age on the couch.

"Uh...Hello." I say. Ezra stands up off the couch and smiles and the woman just looks my way.

"Oh hello dear. I'm Dianne Fitzgerald, Ezra's mother. And you are?" She says with a look that says she's above me. Oh god what do I say..what has Ezra said about me.

"Hi...I'm Aria." I say and walk towards her and shake her hand then glance at Ezra and he gives an apologetic look.

"Oh, so your Aria? I've heard so much about the mysterious girl that stole my son's heart. Great to finally meet you in person." Before I know she's hugging me.

But not a normal hug, a rich person hug. Like not those warm, loving hugs that makes you melt inside. But a stiff hug that that makes you feel nothing and makes you confused as to why you are currently hugging this person.

I was about to hug back but it was over. For the next 2 hours it is all small talk. Mostly about the Fitzgerald name and why Ezra left the family and this car he sold. I was most definitely the third wheel but I gave a way out for the topic of conversation to be led adrift from the Fitzgeralds' to me and Ezra.

"So Aria, you look quite young. Not trying to offend but How old are you exactly?"

"I'm..uh....well....18. At Hollis currently." I smile sweetly and I can mentally feel Ezra's heart rate go down.

"Do you work out at all? Not trying to be rude." You sure about that? I thought to myself.

"Well even if I did, I would only get bigger." Ugh. I'm going to be fat.

"Why?" She looks honestly confused. Damn.

"Well I'm sorta pregnant."
