Chapter Twelve: After the Dance

After that, I went straight home and then think about what happened during the party and that time that Hollyhock said to me.

Those words she said. I kept on hearing it. I don't know what she means by that but... I never told her where she lives. How's she going to get into my house or something.

Well, it was ten o'clock at night and I feel so tired because of the party and I kept on thinking about what happened to Hollyhock. I just don't know what happened.

I wonder why. What does she like about me? What do I like about her though? It's... just... I don't know. I think the adults know about this kind of feeling. Is it love or something? I mustn't assume about love or something. It was a very deep topic about it.

Then I have no strength to open up my eyes so I decided to close my eyes and then I slowly fall asleep. I... can still hear her voice in my sleep. It was weird. I don't know what it is but I think it was something that I should be aware of.

Maybe tomorrow I should ask Rick about this one and after all. I mean she knows a lot about Hollyhock after all.

As time passed by, the sun rises and then I woke up. I think my mother prepared something for me. I think it's going to be a delicious breakfast or something like that.

I took a shower and then I went downstairs. I rushed to the dining table and I sat down. My mom is in the kitchen I think that she noticed that there is something in me and I don't know why. Maybe I feel happy about the party or something or just excited about Hollyhock coming into my house. I mean, does she know my address?

Then after I ate breakfast I brush my teeth and then I went on to the couch and just watch some TV. After all, it was a long Christmas break for me so I should enjoy it as possible or as long as I can.

And... all of a sudden someone knocked right into the front door and then my mother called me to open it. I urgently rushed towards the door only to find...

"Oh, it was you," I said, It was just Hollyhock I didn't expect her to be here "how'd you find my home?"

"Did you just say to me that you're a few blocks away from Rick," she said. Oh, I just realized she just asked Rick about it but does she know the thing between us "I just asked Rick about it. And I think he's kind of... getting quite annoying lately. What did you tell him?"

"Nothing, it was nothing," I said, what did I say to him? I don't know at all "Hollyhock, do you want to... you know... go-"

"-out with me? Okay," she said. I think she was just expecting me to say that one. Like as if she was reading my mind. Is she a psychic or something? Who knows "just call me Holly, I mean... we were hanging out are we?"

I was stunned by what she said. I think we just both confessed our feelings toward each other. From friends to lovers or something like that. Do you think this feels rushed at all? I don't know.

"Well, I just knew you two belong together,"

I looked behind Holly's back and then I saw that it was Rick outside. In the front yard and then I saw Holly turning around and we saw him.

"I was just so happy," he said, did he mean that?

"So, you finally got out of your nest," said Holly, sarcastically "well, I think you two can be good friends. I hope we spend our Christmas break this time."

And then We hang out as friends. We invited Jake and Sally at the same time and then we hang out in many places this time around. I just don't expect this at all. From living a life without a purpose to finding one because of my friends. I think my life... no my story for the search of my purpose ends here.
