I was standing in the ocean, staring up at her above me. She was staring down at me. I was nervous, our friendship was unbreakable which was the worst part. I dont want to be friends, I wanted to be more. "I kind of like you." I mumbled quickly. She stared at me, perplexed as she tilted her head to the side. "Oh no, I must've heard you wrong." She said sweetly as she turned her head. I felt tears sting the corner of my eyes threatening to spill, what if she had truly heard me? What if she didn't feel the same. "Heh, I just wanted a doughnut!" I said awkwardly quickly recovering, in which the two sentences sounded nothing alike. I was embarrassed, heartbroken. The Waves crashed as embarrassment washed over me. "For Pete's sake! Your waves are quite loud." She said laughing her last sentence off. "I'll be quite sad once the sun comes up, I'll miss you those hours we're away." She was full of sorrow. "I don't want to go." "Its alright Moonlight, as soon as the sun comes down I'll see you again, I promise." Except it was one promise I couldn't quite keep. We had been torn apart from eachother that same night. She was too far, something my powers were unable to reach. I missed her truly, impatiently waiting for the day we will be reunited with one another once more.
