A/N: I was thinking about possibly doing other girlxgirl, Non-binary x Non-binary (Or a mix of the two), not just strictly Seafairy and Moonlight. It would stay on task as a cookie run fanfic of course. Let me know your thoughts, and if I don't get comments, i'll most likely just do it on my own accord.

I'd also like to apologize about me making a christmas themed fanfic even though at the time of writing/publishing this, it is spring.

The town buzzed with excitement.
Christmas was abound, what a jolly season wouldn't you think, hm? Except Seafairy couldn't disagree more, she was envious of those around her.
Family, friends, along with the dreadful couples.
She could hardly stand the sight, she thought she'd go into a fit of rage, almost rightfully so.
She'd been frozen for years, no chance to make friends.
Had she not been a god, perhaps she'd have a family, but alas, dead-end. As for couples, the reason she was frozen in place was because of her lover, long gone. Distant in some place she thought she'd never reach, no matter how much practice, no matter her status.

Hence why she hated such a season, she felt lonely.
Nobody to wrap her in their arms such as her lover had once done. Nobody to connect with, nobody to give gifts. Utterly alone, and the town never seemed to notice her themselves.
She always thought, a god such as her, has surely fallen off.
If only she had someone to comfort her, perhaps her heart would be more open to the idea the old man proposed. The same promise he made year after year,
"I'll get her back, that is my duty." Eggnog cookie spoke with the same strong voice.
He'd found her on a bench, staring up at the dark sky, 10 years ago.

"10th year anniversary.. every year you say the same thing." Her voice was solemn as she reluctantly looked down into her lap. Her voice seemed to slightly crack and quiver.
She was close, close to giving up.
"I've tried for hundreds of years, long before you came along." A scornful tone slipped, along with the threshold of tears. Her tears dropped onto her blue dress, adorned with the usual ruffles.

He wasn't equipped to take care of someone in such a position.
Her back heaving up and down as she tried to dry her tears, her whimpers cracking. Her posture no longer as perfect as it once was. The weight finally crushing her under, crumpling her until she felt like she was nothing. The one she loved seemed to be gone, even eggnog seemed to think as much.
Seeing her in such a state, he found himself tearing up.
As if something was taken from him, he wasn't able to give her the happiness she wished so fervorously for. Happiness she truly deserved to receive.

"I know... I'll never give up no matter what, and that's a promise. You can hold me to it." He placed a hand onto her shoulder as she looked up, her eyes practically covered in tears. She tried to smile, she really did. Except the only thing that came out was a pained sob.
Her cheeks painted red, how could she cry in front of someone? How embarrassing.. that's what's she thought. If only she knew, no matter if your a god, a human, crying should never be shameful.
She needed to heal, and Eggnog would be the outlet, he'd make sure she made it out of this rut.

Sniffling, she looked up, the man was gone.
Leaving her on the snow covered bench, her nose and cheeks bright red.
Sighing, she stood up, trying to walk out of the town square.
She needed air, away from the people she grew so furious with. She felt like she needed to scream, just something to not boil over.

She shoved random people out of the way, not a care in the world.
"Watch it!"
"Oomph-!"
People complained, which enraged her anymore.
How could they be complaining when they had something she so desperately wanted?  Ungrateful, that's what they were.
Their time only limited, not having to suffer from loss of late friends.
Not having to deal with the burden of losing someone who kept them anchored.

"Maybe stay out of my way." She retorted, continuing back to her home that sat near the beach, trees providing privacy.
She was tired, and a nap was very needed.

She woke up Christmas morning, exhausted.
If she could cancel a holiday she totally would.
Despite that, she walked through the hallway leading to her front living room.
Oddly, a purple light slightly illuminated the end of the hallway.
'huh'
Her legs continued to carry her to her living room, and as she turned the corner she was embraced into the tightest hug of her life.
"I missed you so much I-!"
Her familiar voice said into her ear. Sea-fairy quickly wrapped her hands around Moonlights waist and cried into her shoulder.
"I love you so goddamn much.." Sea-fairy whispered, her voice cracking.
They swayed together, each other's shoulders absolutely soaked with salty tears.
"I didn't believe him when he said he could take me to you, I- Im in shock.."
"I didn't believe him when he said he'd bring you back but.. you're here..."
The two pulled away looking into each others eyes.
Sea-fairy immediately kissed Moonlight,
"I've been waiting years for that.."
Moonlight confessed,
"And now we can do more, we can hang out again, like how we used to all those hundreds of years ago!" Sea-fairy beamed, her cheeks tear stained.
"I'd love that dear.." Moonlight said as she closed the space between them, passionately kissing one another.
