"Y/N! HEY, Y/N, WAIT UP!"

The girl being called after turned around obligingly, eyes scanning the crowded hallways of Eldia High until she found the source of the familiar voice, giving a wave as he stumbled out of the river of students to stand beside her.

"Hey, Armin," she grinned friendlily, letting the younger boy catch his breath. "Oh, wait, that's right, we have Science now, don't we?"

He nodded, blue eyes still wide from the ideal of being swept away in a storm of third-years as the somewhat short first-year that he was. Armin was one of those boys that Y/N thought was probably considered pretty cute by people in his grade, with long blond hair and one of the sharpest minds she knew. "Hi. I just wanted to talk to you before class."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, scooting along the wall so that she was properly outside the door of their classroom, which was, predictably, empty. They were early, after all. "Oh? Go on, then."

"It's ..." Armin trailed off, chewing his lip. He was always a little shy in their class, or around anyone above his age in general, probably because he was a whole year younger. Being as smart as he was, he had been accelerated into Y/N's second-year Advanced Science class, but he was still fairly introverted around his classmates. "One of my friends needs a favour."
