"CHASE, YOU EXCITED?" Y/N GRINNED, practically skipping by her friend's side.
The black-haired girl allowed herself a smile. "Yeah, I guess so. I hope I'm not inconveniencing with the numbers though ..."
"Bullshit," Y/N waved a hand. "Hange's team has the hardest work, so I'm sure they'll let you work with those guys, and to be honest, Survey is always looking for new people. Petra, you gonna be okay without company today?"
She scoffed. "As if I need to hang out with you losers to be amused – but thanks, I'll be okay. I'm hanging out with Nanaba today, we're gonna play badminton or something like that."
Satisfied, the three Survey members were on their way, arriving punctually to see only a few other people there (it looked like most of the first-years had not yet arrived). Armin bounced over to Y/N to lead her over to a corner as Takumi introduced Chase, who was enthusiastically welcomed by Hange and Erwin and swiftly indoctrinated into the former's group.
"Hey, how's your day been?"
Y/N looked at the table Armin had dragged her to, realising that Levi was sitting in one chair in the middle of two others, his legs half-crossed and resting his chin on his hand.
She managed to stay composed and smile. "Hey, it's been great. Yours?"
"Yeah," he said, tilting his head a little to the side. "Good."
