"OKAY, EVERYONE, GATHER AROUND, PLEASE," Erwin called. All the club members immediately listened, their respect for him clear – Levi re-shelving his book, Hange immediately zipping their lips and moving closer with Faye in tow (they were evidently closer than Y/N had anticipated), the first-years all huddling in as a group.
Y/N folded her arms and stood near the back, beside Takumi. The blond boy looked down at her with a smirk as he mimicked her pose, looking towards Erwin and making her seethe that she couldn't react, lest they be caught.
"Today, we'll be focusing on Ancient Eldia, specifically the Zhiganshina region," Erwin detailed, reading off some list he had made on his phone, the shine of the screen reflecting off his glasses. "Uh ... for Y/N's information, we at Survey like to investigate historical myths and all that and try and use science and history to prove or disprove them. Here's today's – Levi, please?"
The shorter boy took over, leading their whole group to a table with several books scattered across it. He trailed his finger down the glossy page of one of the open texts, coming to a stop on a picture and tapping it. It looked to be a scanned version of an old drawing, based on its yellowed colour, and it was lined with brownish ink. Y/N wanted to avert her eyes after fully seeing it – a person with a blood-splattered teeth and grotesquely wide eyes, giving a terrifying 'smile' that was equivalent to the way a predator bared its teeth before leaping for the kill.
