This will be a short story that was requested by @D_dhanu for Aditi's TaeJincember book.
It isn't exactly like she asked for but I hope she likes it just the same.

Kim Seokjin is going about his business and eating all alone like he usually does in the school cafeteria. He has his earphones in his ear to block the voices of the ghosts who are always trying to get his attention.
Also to block the voices of his fellow classmates who are constantly belittling him. He is always being bullied for being poor, for still succeeding despite his home situation but mostly because they have heard the rumors about him being able to see and speak to ghosts. And he scares them.
He always tries to eat his school lunch because it's the only meal he is able to eat without getting nagged about him being a burden to his aunt and cousins.
He is a senior in high school now and can't wait to graduate. He knows he won't be able to go to college, but he wants to get a job so he can hurry up and move out.
He will turn 18 in a couple of days and he hopes to find a job soon so he can move out of that hellhole.
That afternoon as he walks home from school, he is being harassed by the ghost of a woman who is asking for his help. When she died she was still in a deep shock and didn't understand that she was supposed to go into the light and into her eternal resting place.
She then also hid from the reaper who tried to help send her on her way. She was terrified at the time, but now after decades of roaming the streets she is ready to go.
She knows Jin is able to see and speak to ghosts and hopes he knows of a way to help her cross over.
As he walks down his usual path home, the ghost keeps yelling into his ear.
"I know you can hear me! Why won't you help me? Everyone knows that you are the Goblin's future spouse. He has been roaming the earth for centuries waiting for you."
When Jin continues to ignore her, not wanting to hear more about his alleged ties to the so called Goblin king, she screams very loudly. Making a screeching sound and the nearby birds all fly away startled.
He stops to glare at her and once again puts his earbuds back in his ears. She follows behind him, attempting to continue her harassment of him. But she suddenly stops when she sees someone walking their way.
"I-I thought it was just a legend. But he's here.. please.. please.. oh God.." she starts to mumble.
She then vanishes as he continues to walk on. At that precise moment, Tae is walking in the opposite direction as him. Their eyes automatically lock onto each other, as if by a force unknown to them.
As they pass each other they continue to look at each other. Tae gets flashes of things to come or have passed but clearly sees Jin in the visions. They look at each other until physically impossible and Jin continues to walk forward without looking back. But Tae does stop to look back at him.
He couldn't understand the strange sensation that was pulling him towards the young man. He then takes a look around and notices the path has a rock wall on each side.
