☾ Interlude: Dreams ☽

Tsunade's Dream:

"Yusuke-Chan's going to join us for lunch," Tsukimi said softly as she walked out to the garden where Tsunade was sitting, watching over a grown-up Nawaki as he played around with a toddler Tsukiko not far from where the blonde was. "What did Dan say? Would he be finished with work by then?"

"He did mention that he'll definitely join us today," Tsunade replied, looking toward the elder woman, her aunt despite their close age. "I can't blame him, it's tough being the Hokage,"

"You're right," Tsukimi agreed, and she smiled as Yusuke entered the garden as well, and she reached out to give him a kiss. "We were just talking about you,"

"Were you, Tsukimi-Chan?" Yusuke asked, blush dusting his cheeks from his wife's public display of affection, still not used to it. Tsunade smirked at him.

"Ever the shy guy, huh, Yusuke?" Tsunade asked.

"Don't tease him too much, Tsuna," Tsukimi warned but she was chuckling as well. Tsunade joined in with the white-haired woman. "Nawaki-Chan, it's time for Tsukiko's lunch!"

"Come on, Kiko-Chan!" Nawaki said happily, picking up the waddling girl before she could flee with Tonton. "You have to eat so you can grow up really, really strong!"

"Stwong!" Tsukiko exclaimed, raising her arms and they all laughed.

"I'll feed her," Yusuke told Tsukimi, reaching out to take his daughter from her cousin. "You rest – it's been a while since I got to feed her lunch,"

"You fed her breakfast yesterday," Tsukimi responded, amused but allowing him to do as he liked.

"He's really fond of her," Tsunade acknowledged as they watched Yusuke sit down with Tsukiko on his lap and Nawaki quickly fetched her the lunch ahead of them. "She's got them all wrapped around her tiny pinkie finger, even Dan's always going on about her,"

"He asked me the other day how long it would take her to choose a favourite colour," Tsukimi said and the two of them laughed. "He's convinced she loves the colour of his hair,"

"I think I heard him muttering about that as well," Tsunade agreed. "She's growing up really fast... even Nawaki wasn't that fast... you're going to have trouble with boys in the future, Tsuki-Chan,"

"She's got me to look out for her!" Nawaki said at once, having listened in following his name. "I'll make sure none of them get too close to Kiko-Chan,"

"I'm here!" Dan called out as he arrived into the garden, smiling. "Kiko-Chan's already eating?"

"Like I said," Tsunade said to Tsukimi, amused. "All eyes for her," She stood up to go greet her boyfriend. "You made it today – I'll set the table,"

"I'll help," Dan offered at once.

"No, you can fill your eyes with Tsukiko," Tsunade told him. "I've got Nawaki around to help – come on, Nawaki! I want you to help me set the table today!"

Tsunade looked around at the table as she sat down with everyone – Tsukimi and Dan were talking about something to do with work, Nawaki and Yusuke were discussing their recent missions with each other. Tsukiko had fallen asleep against her father's stomach, and Tsunade wondered when Jiraiya and Orochimaru were going to visit them.

Yamato's Dream:

"Tenzo, what's the matter?"

Yamato looked up and saw that Kakashi was standing in front of him, and the two of them were standing together on top of the Hokage's Office in Konoahagakure. There was no war going around and there was no immediate problem upon them.
