"We're making brownies!"

"Yay!" Taka cheered, following Y/n into her kitchen as Kamitani did the same. "Are you sure you want to join us Kamitani?" Y/n asked him, surprisingly he nodded, making his way to the refrigerator and taking out the eggs.

Y/n got the bowls ready while Taka felt a bit useless since he was so small and couldn't reach anything, so he tugged on Y/n's pants. "Can you carry me?" he asked her, giving her the cutesy eyes as she was in awe. "Sure! What do you want to get Taka?"

"The sugar!" he cheered, raising his hands in the air as Kamitani loudly sighed, trying to get Y/n's attention but failed since she was too busy helping his younger brother. He then placed the tray of eggs on the counter before going over to the kitchen counter and crouching as he opened the cabinet doors to get the tray.

'How do I get her attention..?" he thought, sighing to himself before thinking that his brother was the one who had the idea of making brownies with her so he couldn't just make up an excuse for Taka to leave all of a sudden.

But..

Kamitani shook his head, getting the rest of the ingredients out and setting them down next to the bowls. Y/n placed the recipe book in Taka's hands after she had set him down onto the floor and looked over to Kamitani who was holding the wooden spoons in his hands as he had a clueless expression on his face.

"Ready?" she asked the two, watching them nod before opening the drawer and getting the aprons out just to fit the mood. She placed the apron over Taka while Kamitani stood still with his in his hands, wanting Y/n to do it.

Y/n then turned around, now facing Kamitani as he shyly tilted his head the other way and his hands forwarding the apron close to her. "Huh? You don't want it?" she asked him as he froze and shook his head.

It was like his vocals had stopped working, he couldn't speak a word to her. He pointed his fingers at her apron then to himself, trying to get her to understand what he was trying to do.

"Oh! You want me to help you?" she said as Taka laughed at his older brother. "Big brother needs help by a girl—!" Taka started to say until he felt both of their two pairs of eyes staring right at him with a glare as he then gulped. "Can we make brownies now..?" Taka whispered, holding his hands behind his back as he then pouted.

"In a sec." Y/n said, taking the apron from Kamitani's fingers before placing it over his head and laying the straps on his shoulders, coming closer to him as she reached towards his back and grabbed the strings before bringing them up front and tying them together.

"Better?" she chuckled at him as he became a bit flustered, nodding his head. "You're too cute." she smiled at him while Taka made a disgusted face. "Ew! No flirting!" both teenagers immediately froze.

"Flir-Flirting?! We're not flirting Taka! Now go give me a cup of water and use the stool! Hayato give me the brownie mix!" Y/n became embarrassed and Kamitani could see it in her face. It took him a minute to realize she used his first name instead of his last.

His face blew up to flames. She took notice of it and thought he might've gotten sick so she rushed him out the kitchen as Taka used his fingers to push the cup of water onto the kitchen counter before following the two.

She sat Kamitani down on her couch, he saw her panic, he didn't know why exactly but she was. Y/n was trying to find the thermometer, while she was looking for it, she told Taka to get a wet paper towel and to put it on his brother's forehead.

Taka slammed it on Hayato's forehead, running away from him afterwards because he didn't want to be hit. Y/n then scolded the two, both sitting on the couch as Taka's feet was dangling in the air.

Taka fell asleep no more than five minutes later, she sighed before asking Kamitani if he was okay. He told her he just felt hot— which was a bad thing to say because it only made her panic more.

She was going to go get medicine but he quickly grabbed her arm before she had left the living room and pulled her so she could be standing in front of her, though he pulled her a bit too hard which made their face come close with one another.

It would've been an accidental kiss if Kamitani had never held her arms fast enough to keep the distance between them. Her eyes widened, quickly backing away as she felt her face heat up.

"Oh would you look at the time! I have to get going to work!" Y/n said, finding a place to escape from but he then wrapped his arms around her body and pulled her down into a hug. She was very surprised at the sudden action though, she hugged him back.

'Ha ha! I am hugging Hayato— oh wait, i'm hugging Hayato..like for real?!'
