Chapter 8

*Haru's POV*

After their intense conversation earlier, Kise apologized for his absurd behavior

Though Yuki's still kinda pissed, she then accepted Kise's apology after he gave her chocolate kisses

And now, she's back to being her cheerful self again, making us sweat dropped

Kise didn't stayed too long before he took his leave to return to their school

And we are currently inside the lockers where all of them are changing, while Riko and I are just standing near the door, watching them-- or more like, guarding Yuki from them

"Oh- I almost forgot. Yuki-chan, how were you able to predict Kise's move earlier?" Satoshi asked as he looked over at Yuki, who has her extra grey shirt on already

"You predicted it, but you didn't told me?!" Kagami interrupted frantically

"Bakagami! That would be cheating! And besides, you're the idiot one who challenged him first" Riko interrupts, before continuing. "I know you're really smart Yuki-chan, but even though Kuroko-kun told me earlier about Kise's ability to copy any move he just saw, I haven't even thought of him, doing that specific move from Kagami" she said in disbelief and confusion, similar to the others expression

"It's pretty simple, actually. As a part of their basketball club, they must also be having a practice earlier, considering that we'll be having a practice match tomorrow. The fact that he went here with his school uniform, it means that he came here right after his classes ended. The distance between our schools might only take 10-15 minutes by bus, including the time he'll be walking from our gates to our gym. Within that time, our team manage to score 24 points already. So hypothetically speaking, he arrived here just in time I still have the ball. And so, he was able to see our play, specially Tai-kun's move. Though he has the second option of copying my move during our last score, I know he would prefer to copy Tai-kun's move. Bacuse my move can only be done with a support, for it was an alley-oop. And because it was a 1 vs 1 challenge, he was left to execute his first option, crossovers and dunk. I also considered the fact that his personality includes showing off, so he must do it the easy way, to secure his display"

To say that we we were surprised, was an understatement. We were... flabbergasted. But at the same time, astonished

'Damn. How smart can she really be?'

*Riko's POV*

"And you call that simple?!" I frantically exclaimed, as I got over from her shocking explanation

"Y-yuki-chan, since w-when have you though o-of it?" Furihata questioned her with nervousness

"When Tai-kun challenged Kise" she replied as she's now changing to her sneakers

We are again surprised after hearing her reply

"Your smart mind's so scary..." I accidentally blurted out the thing I was thinking

"That's why she became the Vice Captain and the Empress of Teiko" Kuroko interrupts, as we turned our attentions to him, surprised by his presence again

"I thought she obtain those titles because of her skills?" Hyuga asked in curiosity, similar to out expressions

'That's what I thought so too'

"Iya.. her skills were just a big bonus. Yuki-san's hypothetical thinking pars with our Captain's absolute decisions and orders. Whenever they play together, no one can outsmart them both. Because even without planning, they already knew what to do, just by their looks. Yuki-san will provide quick strategies on her mind, but even without voicing it out, our captain already understands it with just her nod. Then he will be the one to give brief orders to the team. They obtain their title, the 'Imperial Duo', because of how they rule the game together, with absolute and precision"
