Inferno Dreams

Chapter 3

The next day I woke up tired. I tried getting out of bed and eventually did it but at that time I was almost twenty minutes late so I rushed out of my room after dressing myself and brushing my hair. I sprinted downstairs brushed my teeth and went into the kitchen. 

"Can you drive me to school?" I asked my dad while grabbing a water bottle and putting it in my bag. "Are you late again, June?" He looked disappointed. "Yes and I'm sorry but I had to do homework till five yesterday so I overslept this morning and now I am way too late to catch my bus. So can you please drive me?" I pleaded."I'm sorry but I can't. I have a meeting in like ten minutes. You'll have to walk today." I nodded. Why did he have to have a meeting today? I practically ran out the door as I realized I was still late. 

My throat felt sore after running for good ten minutes so I had to stop and take a break. As I stood there a car stopped right in front of me. It was an expensive-looking car, I didn't know what exactly it was because I don't know anything about cars but it looked expensive. The door opened and as I saw inside I looked into the faces of Ciar and Cole. Ciar stepped out of the car.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in school?" He asked sounding almost angry. I took a step back. "I- I- overslept so I missed my bus so now I have to go there." I stuttered. He took a step in my direction and stood directly in front of me. There were only a few inches left between us. He grabbed my jaw gently and turned my face as if he was trying to find something." You know" he started and closed the gap between us at the same time. "If you lie to me I know that so don't even try." I gasped. I would never lie! Why would he even assume that? "I didn't mean to offend you, love. I know you didn't lie to me right now. I just wanted to tell you before you think you could." He smirked at me. "Get in the car." What? I'm not going to get in their car. I don't even know them! His eyes darkened as he understood that I wasn't going to move. "Now." He stated. I slightly shook my head but stopped as soon as his grip on my jaw got stronger. "It wasn't a request. Either you're gonna get in that car or I'm gonna force you to. The choice is yours." I'm scared of getting in their car but I'm even more scared of what he will do to me if I don't. Should I just comply? Apparently, I was taking too long because Ciar grabbed my arm pretty harshly and started dragging me towards the car. "Wait please" I whispered. Ciar stopped and turned around so he faced me again. "Are you gonna get in the car on your own now?" He asked smirking at me again. I nodded. His grip on my arm loosened and I climb inside the car. I sat in the middle, in between Ciar and Cole. I felt Cole starring at me. Suddenly he put his hand on my thigh. My eyes widened. I looked over at him. He smiled at me as if he didn't even know what was wrong with him, a stranger, putting his hand on my thigh. I looked over at Ciar. I didn't know why but I hoped he would assist me but instead, he didn't even look up from his phone so I sighed but accepted his hand laying there. "Give me your phone." Cole spoke while watching me closely. That was the first time I heard him speak. His voice was deep but smooth. I reached inside my pocket but hesitated. Why would he want my phone? Was he going to keep it? I needed it. I couldn't afford a new one. What was he going to do with it? "I will give it back to you, darling. Just give it to me. I promise I won't break it." He smiled at me reassuringly. I handed it to him and hoped he would keep his promise. "What's your code?" He asked. I tried grabbing it because I assumed he would want me to put it in but he didn't give it to me. Instead, he looked at me as if he was waiting for something. Then it clicked. "Oh...I- I- I thought you wanted me to... oh-" I stuttered. "Just tell me the code, love. It's okay." He said still smiling not seeming any kind of annoyed. "27020399" I stated. "Thank you." He started caressing my thigh. His touch send shivers over my skin which made him smirk. I turned red as soon as I realized he noticed. He typed something I couldn't see, turned it off, and handed it back to me. I put my phone back in my pocket. As I looked out the window I could already see the school. I was kind of scared to go in there. I didn't know why but it was just really exhausting for me to be there, talk and participate in class. The driver slowed down as we reached the parking lot. I waited patiently for Ciar to get out of the car so I could exit it too. I looked back at Cole. He once again smiled so I smiled back, which made him turn slightly red. I got out and looked at Ciar. "Thanks," I whispered. I was always so shy around him, I mean I'm a shy person in general but still, when he is around I get even quieter. "No problem." We looked at each other for another few seconds before I remembered I was already late so I turned around and went towards the school. I turned around once again to wave at them. Ciar smiled back lightly. I liked his smile.
