Chapter 18

Sally's POV:

Lucas and I entered the dining room hand in hand, a guy in a tuxedo announced us in and everyone bowed down to us. Everyone were just so fancy here, while me and Lucas are semi-formal. Haha.

I wrapped my arm around Lucas' arm and we both walked down the spiral stairs, we heard some guys cheering and girls politely doing little courtseys. I bowed my head a little in return and they smiled. We headed to our seats and waited for the King and Queen to arrive.

"MAY I INTRODUCE..." The guy in the tuxedo announced.

"YOUR HIGHNESSES, KING DAVID AND QUEEN ARIZONA TITANS." Everyone here including Lucas and I bowed down to them.

They made their ways to their seats, the King on one side of the end of the table, and the Queen on the other. We were signaled to sit down and so we did. The food came out shortly and well, we began to eat. On my plate, it had all my favorite food; Fresh Lobster with sliced lemons on the side, the lobster was on a big piece of lettuce and it had my favorite dipping sauce too. There were other stuff too, like salad and meet loaf, fish, chicken, etc.

About an hour and a half later, we were all done eating. Well, except for the kids, but they can take their time. The King and Queen stood up and waited for everyone to settle down, once they did the king began to speak...

"It is the honor to have you all here tonight for this special evening." He spoke in his British Accent.

"Indeed it is, we are glad that you all could make it." Queen Arizona spoke in her scottish accent.

"We would like to congratulate, my son and my daughter in-law, for their happy engagement. May all turn your focus on them." King David spoke, now was mine and Lucas' time to stand.

"It's a pleasure to have you all here with me and my wonderful gal." Lucas began to speak and smiled. Some smiled and some laughed.

"We really appreciate it." I spoke gently.

"We would love for you all here, to come to our wedding. Happening in 3 weeks." Lucas announced and I couldn't help but blush, because I was excited and I am future Queen.

"We will appreciate the honor you will bring a long with you.." I giggled a bit and continued...

"We really hope you can make it." I smiled and everyone smiled back.

King David Titan's POV:

Once Sally gave a smile to everyone, it seems as if everyone else smiles, including me and my wife Arizona. It's like everytime she smiled, it's addicting and we just smile back. That must be one of her powerful gifts, sent from God. Dear Sally, God bless you.

My son and daughter in-law finished their speech and sat down after thanking everyone. I got up and so did my wife, we announced our final thank you's and let everyone leave.

Before Lucas and Sally could leave, I stopped Sally and told Lucas that I wanted to talk to her for a minute. He gave me a curious look but, left the room for us to chat. Sally looked nervous but, I smiled to comfort her.

"Anything wrong, sir?" She asked.

"Nothing at all. I just want to tell you how happy I am for my son to have a young and beautiful woman like you." I proudly said.

"Why thank you!" She courtsey and I smiled once more.

"I see a bright future in your path. Sally, you do know you have a special gift from God, hmm?" I asked.

"A gift?" She looked confused and I chuckled a bit.

"Yes, when you smile, it brightens the whole room and makes everyone else smile. Arizona and I can see it." I pointed at her heart and she looked down with a smile.

"Your love and happiness brightens the whole kingdom."

"That is very kind sir, but I don't think this gift is from God." She smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.

"What do you mean?" I was curious.

"Being here with all of you made my life easy and so welcomed. I may not go further into telling you about my past. I love it here, it feels like home." Sally's words touched my heart.

"I believe that, you are so kind." I replied and hugged her.

"It will be awesome to have you as my father-in law." She hugged me back and that's when I felt something i've never felt before.

Suddenly, I was being pulled into Sally's life. I kept seeing her past, Sally being beatened up by her... father? Being adopted by.. Miranda! Her in 8th grade, being picked on.

"Father?" I heard Sally call with worry in her tone.

I pulled myself back to the real world and found my arms still around Sally in a hug.

"Uuuh, Sorry." I apologized and she nodded.

"It's alright, I must be going now." She bowed down towards me and left the room.

Was.. that Sally? My daughter-in law?
