Castiel has a very bad night. As an angel, he can't sleep. So he hears all the sick people's screams in all the hospital. He can barely move and his powers were too weak to help them. He feels useless and God, he hates this feeling.

The morning finally comes and Castiel observes through the curtains, the rising sun. From the sky, it's complicated to see a rising sun and he doesn't really have the time to watch one. That's why he enjoys it until the sun is high in the blue sky, as if it was his last one. He has the feeling that he is going to stay on Earth for some time yet. And somewhere...it scares him a little. He is here since three days, and he has never been here more than an entire day. It's the first time in his angel life that this happens. He is alone.
He is lost.
And his wings are missing. Why don't they answer? He sighs. He should think about something else, it starts depressing him.
"Dean Winchester."
His names immediately comes in his mind. The man who saved him. A while he hasn't said his name to a human. He seems to be really nice and he doesn't know why but he looks forward to see him again.

Two hours later, a sound catches his attention. He turns his head and looks at the door. There is a group of nurses who are chatting and giving him some surprised looks.
Apparently his miraculous story is known to all.
It makes him feel uncomfortable to be staring like this, usually he is invisible so he doesn't like all these eyes on him. Enough is enough, Castiel decides to leave his room. He stands up, takes and puts the trench coat on, that nurses putted on a chair and walks toward the door.

"Hey, you can't-" A nurse says while he starts walking in the corridor.

"I'm just going to stretch my legs." Castiel snaps.
He is getting so tired of their orders. He is an angel, these women don't say what he has to do.

It is 10:33 am and there is already a lot of people in the hospital. Human's body is really weak. A simple bacteria can kill them. Sometimes he wonders why his father made them so weak...
He arrives at the exit door and looks outside. He would like to leave and find his brothers. He doesn't know what happened to him and it becomes to obsess him. He still remembers the mission that Uriel gave him but he doesn't know who he has to kill.
There is too much "doesn't know" He thinks.
He said that he was just going to stretch his kegs but finally...It's just a new lie. He looks around and seeing no nurse, he pushes the door and leaves the hospital.

Castiel thinks that he should come back to the scene of his fall. There is necessarily something which could help him, he is'nt really sure but it's the only option he gets. Unfortunately, he doesn't know where he crashed. He just knows it was somewhere, far from the cities. He walks, but doesn't know where. Without his wings, it's really hard to move, before he just had to think about the place he wanted to go and in a second he was there.

"Father, I really need your help..." Castiel thinks.

He looks around, hoping some help, but like usual, nothing happens. People around him look at him as if he was fool. Maybe because of his clothes from the hospital? He sighs and walks toward a bus stop and finally sits on a bench. He furrows his brows, feeling something under his bottom. He takes it and realizes it's a newspaper of two days ago. The title is "The fall of a meteorite". It's obviously talking about him. He starts reading and sees that there is the name of the place where he fell. A woman sits next to him and he decides to ask her if she knew how to go there. She quickly answers to take the next bus then ignores him -probably because she thinks he is weird. Castiel smiles, feeling a new hope. The bus arrives and he gets in.

He takes two bus to finally arrives at the place of his fall. He is tired, he isn't accustomed to travel and his headache comes back. But he is finally there and that's all that matters. After a few minutes' walk he sees the crater. He is really big and all the trees around it are on the floor or burnt. He turns his head to the right then to the left, expecting to see some angels. But there is nobody. He sighs and decides to go see the crater. But when he gets closer he feels a strange feeling inside him...it's like...
He had a hole inside.
He furrows his eyebrows. What a strange feeling. Why would he feel that?
That's only when he sees the bottom of the crater that he understands.
There is two big black wings in it.
"Oh no...M-My wings!"
Castiel falls down on his knees, falling into the sadness, still looking at his wings. Tears start dropping from his eyes. It's a nightmare...it can't be! He cries and grabs his back as if he could feel his wings again. He thought that if he couldn't fly anymore it was just because the fall had wounded them...But in fact it was simply because he hadn't them anymore. All he can do is staring this disaster and scream. He wishes to die, He hasn't wings anymore...What can he do?
"Cas' ?"
The fallen angel jumps. He slowly turns his head and sees Dean who is looking at him with anxiety. Castiel would be happy to see him if the situation wasn't the same. He wonders how did he find him.
"Dean?" Castiel whispers with a shaking voice.
"Hey buddy, you okay?" Dean gently asks.

He helps him to stand up.
"Why are you crying?"
Castiel looks down. Dean can't see his wings, He can't explain it. He wipes away the teardrop from his eyes.
"It's...Nothing."
Dean knows he is lying but he chooses to let it go because he looks very bad.
"The hospital called me. They didn't know how to join your family so they chose me. They said that you escaped. I didn't want you to be in trouble so I told them you were with me."
Castiel squints his eyes and tilts his head.
"You lied?...For me?"
Dean smiles.
"I said it. I'm watching over you."
Castiel doesn't know what to say.
"That's...really nice." He finally answers.
There is a silence then Dean smiles again.
"You look horrible."
He shows him his car (a chevy Impala 67) with a head movement then adds:
"What about a beer?"
