Matthew lay on the cold floor, not even bothering to move anymore. He will admit that at first, he was scared, worried, he didn't want to die! But, as time kept moving forward, he begun to realize something....

'Would anyone even miss me'

He wasn't even going to bother to delude himself into believing his absence would go noticed. Hell, it was the reason he was in this situation in the first place! Nobody even thought of him an independent country anyways, they never did! He was considered more American property.

Matthew looked at the time. It had already been an hour since he had arrived from the world meeting. He was exhausted and the fact that they had another meeting tomorrow didn't help either.

'Should I even go? Nobody acknowledges me anyway...'

Matthew argued with himself for a while before deciding that he would go. He would go, but not for talking about the problems of the world. He would go so that he could see everybody one last time.

He smirked to himself. Why did he want to see them anyways, he was so over looked by them and when he wasn't, he was getting beaten up because he was "America".

He looked at the clock. 9:30 was what it read. He got up and was about to turn and carry Kuma with him, since he has fallen asleep some while ago, before he heard a knock at the door.

'Who could be knocking at this hour?'

Matthew was filled with dread. What if it was Cuba or some other country that mistakes him for America and just came to beat him up! Then again, what if it was someone or something important....

There was another knock on the door, more impatient and desperate than before. He hesitated, but decided it was better to open the door willingly than to have it knocked down forcefully.

Against his better judgement, Matthew opened the door.

'Damn it'

Alfred was furious beyond words.

How could England SAY THAT! He had practically spoken about Matt as if he were just a useless tool! Alfred had stormed out of the building, worrying for his brothers sake, but angry at the Brit.

Alfred stormed to his car, already have deciding to visit Matthew, but then stopped.

He felt a light painful burning in his chest that was accompanied with a feeling of emptiness inside. The pain slowly increased, but then after a while, it vanished.

He had never really felt this feeling before, but the other countries had explained to him pretty well on what it meant.

A country was dying.

He didn't quiet understand how countries could just feel it. he had always assumed it was because they were all connected to each other both historically and human wise.

Alfred had never really experienced much of this since he hasn't been around for as long as everyone else, but he knew it was bad. He began to lightly panic before he came to his senses.

He got into his car and flipped out his phone. Alfred was frantically looking through his contacts before finding the right one.

He pressed the call button and put the phone against his ear. One ring.... Two rings.... three ri- Someone picked up.

"Germany! Look I-"

"You felt it too didn't you." It was not a question, but a statement.

"Y- yea..... is it what I think it is..." Alfred was almost too afraid to know the answer. There was a pause ,that didn't really help with his anxiety he was feeling, before a response came.

"Yes.... that is exactly what that feeling was.... Italy is right beside me, crying, only confirming my thought and now your call made me absolutely positive."

Alfreda stayed quiet for a moment before responding, "I need to go." He hung up and turned on his car, heading in Canada's direction.

'Here is yet another reason to check on Matt!' Alfred thought while driving, 'the burning did hurt, but since I'm hero I can handle anything. I'm not sure about Mattie though, it could have really hurt him.....'

The thought only made him go faster. By nightfall, he had already arived. Alfred quickly climbed out of his car and knocked on Canada's door frantically. there was no answer at first but when he knocked again there was finally an answer.

Matthew had opened the door looking a little more scared and paler than before.....

'Could it be that....'
