Sick

"Could it be that..."

Oh no. it couldn't be right?! Nononono. I needed to confirm it.

"Mattie, could it be that..." A look of worry crossed his face before "your sick?"

Matthew looked at him, in shock for a moment before he let out a fake cough.

"Oh, hehe yeah. You caught me, but its nothing more than a minor cold." Matthew began to push Alfred out the door. "Thank you for stopping by I appreciate that, but I'll be fine."

"Whoa whoa whoa, calm down Matt." Alfred said, extending his arms so that he could no longer be pushed out the door. "Im not leaving until you get better, whether you like it or not.

He turned around and grabbed Matthew by his waist and carried him over his shoulder.

"Im going to stay here and nurture you back to health like the good- no like the awesome big brother i am!"

"No Al, you sound like Prussia when you call yourself awesome. Dont do that, It's just... sad." Matt said, "And put me down, I dont need you to take care of me. Ill be fine on my own! Ive been fine for over 140 years..."

Matthew regretted the words the moment they left his mouth.

He saw Alfred freeze for a moment, wearing a serious, almost emotionless, expression.

He continued to walk.

"I know, Matt, and... I'm sorry." Alfred said. "I know it's probably a little too late, but that's just all the more reason to take care of you. Not just to heal you, but to catch up on the time we missed together."

Alfred then brought up a topic Matthew was hoping they could manage to avoid.

"Besides, a country is dying. You must be scared. I mean, the burning from earlier hurt didn't it?"

Matthew mentally chuckled.

'You have no idea' Matt thought before, "Wait, how does he know...' Then Matt nearly slapped himself. Of course! How could he forget that the countries could feel these thing?!

He was so deep in thought he didn't even realize that they had arrived to his bedroom until Alfred popped him on his bed.

"There all better." Alfred said. "Now let's tuck you in all nice and comfortable."

He stripped Canada of his shoes and heavy coat before tucking him into bed.

"There, now I'm going to go fetch Kuma for you and make you some soup okay?"

Matthew nodded.

"Thank you Alfie."

Canada then realized what he said and turned a light pink. He looked at his brother who was in shock for a moment before he finally processed what had happened.

He began to squeal, starling Matthew.

"OMG bro!" America squealed, "how long has it been since you called me that!" He walked over and began to pinch Matthews cheeks, still fanboy-ing.

"I don't think you've called me that since we were small colonies under Britain's rule.

Matthew flinched at the mention of Britain, but he wasn't about to let that spoil the mood.

"J-just get me my s-soup a-already." Matt demanded, pouting playfully.

Alfred laughed.

"Alright Mattie," Alfred said teasingly, "Big Brother Alfie is here for you." and with that he turned and walked down to the living room and kitchen.

Matthew watched him go and smiled.

At that moment he decided that he didn't want to go.... he didn't want to disappear and die... even if this was probably just a temporary thing, it's little moments like these that make life worth living, every single moment. Matt could not just let these things go.

His smile instantly vanished, though, when he felt a tingling sensation all over his body... he knew what was going to happen next....

He was about to 'glitch out'...

Anyways, down to business, I am now writing a NEW Fanfiction featuring the SuFin Family (Sweden x Finland + Sealand or something like that). it's about orphan peter who had nothing left to live for and gave up all hope of being adopted before SuFin came along and them chizz happens so, can't wait for that.
It's going to be called A New Beginning

Now concerning this story.... all I'm gonna say is that I'm going to rip your feelings right out and dance all over them so look forward to that
