Ru along with Tae and the rest of the members migrated to the couch in the main living area of their hotel suite. Tae sat to her right while Yoongi sat to her left. Namjoon sat in front of Ru on the opposite couch. On his right sat Jimin and his left sat Hoseok.
Jin however, reading the room, saw too much testosterone around the woman and opted to lean against the charcoal abstract art table behind Namjoon. From his purview he towered about them watching like a satisfied hawk, blank and interested by default. Unlike Namjoon's current condescending stare Jin was there for moral support.
Yoongi was the first to speak.
"...so, I'm curious. Tae told us everything that happened since the show, but if I'm being honest this is highly irregular. Not that we don't support each other in everything we do, no matter the endeavor. You can understand how this happened quickly and in turn gotten away from us? Sex is easy. Feelings are not."
"Min Yoongi, right?" Ru smiled at the way he paused to look at her nodding quickly. "Incredibly so. I get it."
"Our Taehyung has become...fond of you." Yoongi said looking away slightly touching his ear. One of his ticks when he become somewhat nervous. "I take it our Kook has done with same with your best friend since he's not here with us?"
"I'd say he has. Let me be clear. If I were you, I would be as worried as you are at the moment. It's cliché to tell you you have nothing to worry about right? But I'm going to tell you that you have nothing to worry about. We, meaning Alexis and I, are gatekeepers to men in your position. As highly irregular as you feel it is, it is for me as well. I imagine when I was introduced to you at the show that someone in this room has done their research on me?" Sitting on the edge of the couch Ru scanned the guys faces for reactions.
"I have." Namjoon spoke up looking at Ms. Day expecting to see her buckle under his gaze. She didn't.
"Then you know anonymity and confidentiality are my primary functions. Mention my name and anyone in that circle can tell you they still have their careers because of me. In America that is incredibly hard to do. The audience is fickle and power shifts quickly. I'm only that good because those two primary functions of mine are integrated into my daily life as well. Authenticity is the only way any of this works in the long run." Kindness is only a measure of her personality but Ru's bluntness speaks much louder.
