Ru & Alexis' Loft
"Miss?"
Ru opened her mouth but words failed to produce. An ominous feeling washed through her body. Fear? Curiosity?
Uncle Lee's phone call came right in the middle of her fixing the photo leak so surely he was calling about that? Or was it about Alexis' attack? The guys gave Ru information about their gang involvement and that's not something their boss would let slide. She wouldn't even allow her clients to admit involvement with illegal entities or she'd drop them.
That's it then. Would he try to eliminate me? But he couldn't do that because of my industry status right? She knew too many important figures so killing her wouldn't be smart. But when are CEO's smart? Power and money can buy a lot of closed eyes and shut mouths. Depending on Uncle Lee's reach though he could make her death look like an accident. Scenarios of her own demise swam through her mind. Oh shit. Does he know anything about me? Wait-why the fuck am I worried?!
Finally she forced herself to speak. "...Yes sir."
"As I said, I believe we share a problem." Uncle Lee took note of her silence. Since he didn't hear any shuffling or mumbling sounds in the background he paid it no mind.
"...Oh? What problem?" She maintained her vagueness. No matter the client never acknowledge said problem. Let the client do that.
Uncle Lee went quiet a moment. "I didn't think sly was in your repertoire?"
"It isn't. Along with giving out free information."
"You know who I am?" Uncle Lee snickered.
"And you must know who I am." Ru was cold and dry.
Make the client talk. Turn the responsibility of the problem on them. You know the drill. "All due respect Mr. Lee Si-hyuk, my best friend was attacked last night, and apparently one of our cities biggest talent agents, who I deal with regularly, is involved in one of your South Korean mobs who funds your number one Intellectual Property, BTS. The vagueries aren't necessary. Let's get into it."
"A talent agent whom you blackmailed to secure some...reprieve for our boys?"
Shit. "If you mean a contact shared their connections with me to secure private celebrities their desired form of entertainment then, yes sir. As is within my jacket of capabilities."
"I should hope so." Uncle Lee enjoyed banter when it came to new business moves. He'd heard everything she said the night before and decided her temperament was suitable for what he had in mind.
"Let's cut the bullshit. I don't care about Edgar right now. I'll deal with him later. Right now I care about my boys. They seem to feel immensely for you and your friend after listening to the conversation last night. I just hope within your jacket of capabilities is a care that holds long term devotion and not short term desires. They aren't just Big Hit artists. They are sons to me. I planned to get in contact with you regarding last night but in more of a legal manner than this so you'll have to excuse this vulnerable phone call. Hopefully you can return the honor of my openness. Pictures have been leaked with Jungkook on your best friend's motorcycle. Though I can't see your best friend completely, I assume that is Alexis that was attacked? The woman Jungkook has taken to?"
