Y/N's POV-
It was Mikey's birthday today.
We were throwing him a surprise birthday party but I couldn't be at the Sano's residence because I had to keep an eye on Mikey until they were done setting up.
He was still upset about yesterday so there was no way that I could possibly sneak off anyways.
"Do you have any Taiyaki?" Mikey asked from inside of the kitchen and I rolled my eyes "For the last time, no!" I called out and I could tell he was frowning so I sighed and walked into the kitchen with him.
"How about we go and get some though?" I suggested and his face lit up as he clung to my arm "Let's go!" He said causing me to smile a bit.
I haven't told him 'Happy birthday' yet, I've been trying to act completely oblivious throughout the day.
I wonder if he even knows what today is.
I looked over at him and he was already looking at me causing my eyes to widen slightly "Mhm what is it?" I questioned and he frowned "Anything you want to tell me?" He asked and I had to hold in my laugh "No?"
He definitely doesn't suspect a thing, At least I know that he remembers his birthday though.
He pouted before wrapping his arms around me as we walked "Mikey, you're like a big baby" I muttered and he sighed loudly in my ear causing me to laugh "What is your problem?" I questioned and he frowned again "Nothing, it's fine"
It's not actually fine because he only acts like this when he's upset about something and I have a feeling that it's about me 'not remembering' his birthday.
But I do so I'm not a bad girlfriend at all.
He'll know later on anyways.
I nudged him in the arm "You ok?" I asked and he smiled before nodding his head at me "Yup!"
Well that was an instant mood change.
"So what do you have planned today?" He asked and I raised a brow "Nothing? Why would I have anything planned?" I asked and he sighed loudly "No reason, so are we just going to stay in your room all day?" He asked and I looked around "Well no, we're outside right now so not the whole day" I said and he placed his hand on my head "Fine"
I knew that Mikey wasn't upset about not having a birthday party, he was just upset because I hadn't mentioned his birthday at all. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" A mother said to her child as we passed by a neighboring park and I smiled "Aw that's so sweet, I love birthdays"
