Oddly, she felt a tinge of glee when she got to see him being possessive.

To watch him express his need for her was such a rarity that when he did, it evoked an inscrutable euphoria inside of her.

Like the feel of a first drop of rain on a sunny day that sparked thrill and exhilaration, his few words of longing engulfed her in a whirlwind of emotions that could only be felt.

Leaned back into her man who was still half naked with a new found tenacity, she gave in to her temptation to explore every inch of his torso with her slender fingers.

His warmth was so addictive. With one hand gripped around her waist and the other subtly teasing her neck, he was fighting his urge to crash his lips against hers.

"Sollu Sivaangi... Yaara miss panna", he implored with his seductive tone that instantly made her shiver.

(Tell me... who did you miss ?)

Moving her gaze to meet his that were reveling in the pleasure of their proximity, his deep brown mesmerizing orbs left her speechless.

All that she wished, dreamt, craved, pined and ached for, was finally hers to hold and behold forever.

His love was hers to keep. He was hers to treasure.

"Rendu perayum miss panen. But there is a difference", she avowed.

(I missed you both but there is a difference)

His eyebrows raised in question.

"Avan enkooda irundhaalum, ungala miss panirken. Pannuven. Aana neenga kooda irunda..", she paused unable to finish.

(I miss you even when I am with him but when I am with you..)

"Sollu ma.. na kooda irunda", he moved the strand of hair that obscured his vision of her dimple.

(When you are with me?)

"Vera yaara pathiyum yosika mudila", she finished and moved her gaze away to get out of the trance that her always put her in.

(I can't think about anyone else)

Though she attempted, the truth was that there weren't enough words to verbally vocalise a bond that surpassed her own intellect.

How could she expect him to understand all her complex emotions when it was too hard for her to make sense of those?

But Why would she ever have to choose one over the other? Was it wrong to have two special people in life? Weren't they each special in their own ways?

Ani has been her person and there is so much that they have been through together that life without him made no sense.

How could she express all that Ani was to her in words? Their bond transcended societal expectations. Its beyond labels. It was implicit trust and connection.

Why was she expected to put something as deep as they shared into a box?

Ashwin on the other hand saw right through her agony.

Did he once feel insecure because of her bond with Ani?

Yes.

But does he still feel the same?

No. Not at all.

Caressing her cheeks and then her silky hair set into perfect curls, he let out a sigh and decided to put her out of misery.

"Enna paaru ma", he murmured but she nodded a no.

(Look at me)

She wasn't in the state of mind to look into his eyes and keep her tears in check.
