"What time are you getting here?" Josh asks over the phone.

"I told you I'm not coming."

"Oh, c'mon, you have to! I already told everyone your coming. They're all waiting for you." I can hear the excitement from his voice, and I didn't want to disappoint him, but I also didn't want to intrude on their 'writing vacation'.

"I can't. Isn't there like a snow storm coming anyway?"

"Not till tomorrow. And you only live an hour from the cabin."

"I'm not packed." I say, monotone, hoping he'd get the hint that I didn't want to join. I know it'd be fun, being with my two best friends in a cabin in the snowy Michigan woods. But their brother, Samuel, was there with his friend Danny. Samuel was never my biggest fan, and I never understood why. So in turn, any interaction I had with his friend was stiff.

"Then pack!"

"I can't stand you sometimes." I roll my eyes.

"Let me know when you're on the way." He hangs up the phone, knowing I'm unable to say no.
