"anyways, why were you skipping class?" chanhee finally decided to ask as the two boys were going down the stairs from the rooftop once a few more people went there to hang out during a thirty minute break between classes.

"just didn't feel like going," the younger half lied, feeling like it was absolutely needless to go into detail. "how 'bout you?"

along the hallways sunwoo felt a few people glancing over at him once again only because he was in chanhee's presence. his easiest solution was deciding to return the gesture by straight up staring at them until they looked away and moved on to wherever they were going.

until then for a moment he had completely forgotten chanhee had his own little fanbase and he tried to not be bothered by it although he perfectly knew what happened last time he was seen with him.

"sort of same," chanhee replied. "didn't feel like hurrying to get my car and be on time for class so i just skipped."

they were just walking aimlessly through the hallways until sunwoo tugged on chanhee's sleeve, pointing at the stairs towards the exit of the building.

after giving him a small nod, chanhee just continued rambling about whatever he wanted to talk about.

currently he was talking about the drama club which progressed into him complaining about how only if he had known that he'd be so good in acting and performing on stage much sooner, he probably would've been in a completely different kind of university by now but there was no point of dropping out in his third year so he had to be stuck with physics majors most of which he described as too bland and boring.

sunwoo found that as quite the irony, considering he thought of himself as someone bland and boring, especially with how he was acting in chanhee's presence. interestingly enough, he had never met one boring physics major so it really made him wonder what was chanhee's criteria on that.

back on the topic, though. there was obviously not a hint of modesty in that guy. he was so confident in himself that he was probably not realizing how he sounded even though he was saying how "talented" he was with an almost joking tone.

absolutely like a theater kid, sunwoo once again thought.

it was just a fact for him at that point and he was probably exaggerating it in his mind a little but he was sure that everyone who did theater, no matter for how long, acted like that. he was friends with juyeon after all. he perfectly knew how he and all his friends were and so far chanhee had been acting pretty similar to all of them.

yet sunwoo was listening to the older with interest as the two were making their way towards a nearby cafe, agreeing with each other that they'd go there just by hand gestures as chanhee was continuing his monologue, probably having no intentions on stopping any time soon.

he paused only for a few seconds when the waitress came around to their table so he could order his usual cold brew. he went to that cafe so often that he was already familiar with almost everyone from the staff there. sunwoo on the other hand had gone only a few times with eric and hyunjoon. he thought it was already a little too late to ask for a menu so he went with the safe choice and ordered hot chocolate for himself.

"have you considered joining any clubs?" chanhee asked as he was done with his own rant, making himself comfortable in his chair and looking at sunwoo.

the younger shrugged, dismissing the thought of how he had tried joining the music club once but it was already full and they wouldn't make an exception for him. "not really. student council is already enough of a "club activity" to me."

"yeah now that you mention it, how come the last student council meeting was also the first one i've ever seen you be on? we've had at least four or five smaller ones before."

"simple, i never felt like going to the previous ones and i never managed to convince my friend to come with me before but i didn't want to go all by myself. it's just that this one seemed more important to go to. or as you said, it must be the universe putting us at the same place at the same time for some reason," sunwoo joked with a sly smile, quoting chanhee's words from the back of his mind, not even sure if that was exactly what he said.

"you're joking now but you'll see that i'm right."

"i know that you are."

they didn't talk much after their drinks were served. or at least chanhee spoke significantly less than he usually did.  sunwoo was enjoying the short moments silence while he could because although he was surprised that for once the older didn't have what to talk about, that wasn't going to last long.

at one point he had received a message from eric, telling him that there was no point in going to classes now that he had slept through two of them. after reading that sunwoo had a slight but still obvious annoyed expression on his face. why did he even bother going to university that day then? there was no way he was going to go to any of the classes now.

"what's wrong?" chanhee leaned closer towards the red haired boy, his expression not left unnoticed.

"nothing," sunwoo shook his head, letting out a quiet frustrated sigh as he put his phone back in his pocket. "it's just that all of a sudden i feel like i came for nothing today."

"come on, that's not true. we got to hang out at least," chanhee tried reassuring, not knowing what else to say to him to offer comfort. only thing that he knew for sure was that whatever message sunwoo had received, it sent him into a completely different headspace.

the younger tried to sweep those feelings away quickly though. otherwise he'd feel obligated to share with chanhee what had currently disturbed him so much to shift his entire mood. he looked back at latter and gave him a slight smile. "yeah. thank you for spending time with me."
