Terry landed, dripping wet, in the Tardis - to Ten and Donna's surprise.
"Angel!" The Doctor called in surprise while Donna raised a brow.
"Love the outfit, angel." The redhead laughed and Terry rolled her eyes as she pushed soapy wet hair out of her face.
The good news was that this time she'd been fast enough to grab the bathrobe she always kept within an arm's reach of the shower (her first experience had truly been traumatic). The somewhat disgruntling news was that even if she'd been butt-naked this time, this Doctor would have cared less and Donna wouldn't have cared at all. And there wouldn't have been anyone else around to witness Terry's embarrassment.
'Really? This couldn't have been the first time I jumped from the shower?' Terry thought with a frown at whatever god clearly didn't love her. 'I had to land almost completely naked in front of a Doctor I wasn't dating, Martha, and a man who was a stranger?'
"Here."
Terry looked over as the Doctor offered her a towel that the Tardis had provided.
"Thanks." Terry said, taking the offered towel and wrapping it around her hair. "And thank you, Sexy."
The Tardis hummed contently while Donna said with a smile, "I take it you weren't coming from anything interesting?"
"Not... entirely." Terry answered as she thought about what she and Eleven had been doing minutes earlier (from her perspective) and the whole reason she'd needed a shower in the first place.
Donna and the Doctor seemed to guess what she was thinking as the redhead made a face while the Doctor looked vaguely embarrassed and very interested. Terry shook her head quickly and she asked, "Anyway, what were you two up to?"
"Oh, nothing." Donna answered airily. "Just saving a few lives, no big deal."
Terry smiled when suddenly the Doctor wrapped an arm around her. Terry looked at him to find him grinning mischievously at her. Terry looked from him to Donna, only now noticing the hints of soot that they'd mostly managed to have sucked off by the Tardis.
"Why are you so sooty?" Terry questioned. She was tempted to ask if they had rescued a couple people from a bonfire but there was a gleam in the Doctor's eyes and a pride in Donna that told Terry something special had just happened.
"Well..." Donna grinned.
The Doctor butted in as he teased Terry, "You said that you wouldn't let me get away with that kiss in Pompeii. Are you going to keep your word?"
"Pompeii?" Terry asked in surprise, now realizing why Donna looked so pleased. She and the Doctor must have just dropped off Caecilius and his family safely away from the volcanic explosion. But what kiss...?
Terry suddenly remembered, and she laughed.
"Oh!" She chuckled. "That seems like ages ago... well, it was ages ago for me."
He laughed with her at that while Terry shook her head fondly.
"That was just before we started dating, in my timeline." Terry mused aloud.
"You were so cute." Donna remembered with a sigh. "I assume from your get-up that this you's all lovey-dovey with him?"
She jerked her thumb at the Doctor who just smirked. Terry shook her head again, marvelling at just how far she had really come.
"So much has happened since then... But it's all still so fresh for you." Terry murmured thoughtfully.
Donna nodded before she gestured at her dirty appearance.
