Miracle

Part 8

"Jenny" Johnny yelled rather distraught. It was now half 5 and they had just finished the afternoon shift. "Yes love" Jenny beamed as she walked into the front room, Abigail in tow.
"Erm Abi auntie Michelle is out the front, why don't you see if she needs any help" Johnny stuttered as he thought of a way to get Abi out the way for 5 minutes: she didn't deserve to listen to what was to come.
With that Abi skipped off to find Michelle, she had taken a shine to her aunties as if she looked up to them already.
"Have you cheated on me" Johnny blurted out.
"What! No! Why?" Jenny replied rather socked and confused by such allegations.
There was a deadly silence as Johnny held the positive pregnancy test up in the air with a frightened look on his face.
"I - I" Jenny stuttered. She knew what she needed to say but she couldn't say it. It was too risky, what if her body couldn't carry it, what if the baby wasn't right, what if he didn't want a baby with her anymore. All the worst possible scenarios raced through her mind.
"Jen please just say it to my face"
She couldn't hold it in any longer. If he didn't want it or her she would have to deal with that but she couldn't face his breaking heart and desperation in this moment.
"It's yours you idiot and can only be yours" she couldn't hold her tears back any longer
"I'm so sorry. I - with everything going on." he breathed as he embraced her into a tight hug. "I shouldn't had assumed, I just panicked and I- I just never thought this would happen for us"
"Hey it's ok: me neither" she reassured him.
They pulled apart from the hug several minutes later still gazing into each others eyes.
"I think we need to talk. If it's ok with you I'll see if Carla or Michelle can look after Abi this evening so we can have some time to ourselves"
"I think that's a wonderful idea but how about I ask Rita? I know she'd love to spend sometime with Abi"
Johnny nodded
"I'll go call her now" she smiled back as she walked out "o and Johnny: I love you, so so much" she murmured softly as a lone tear escaped her eyes.
"I love you too" he sighed. It was true he really did love her and his family more than anything else in the world"

Sorry this chapter is so short but I didn't really want to change places in the same chapter so it's short and sweet. Anyway there's some interesting things coming to do with Carla, Johnny and Peter. If you have any ideas that you want me to include then lmk :)
