George's birthday was in five days, so he wasn't really expecting to see birthday presents slide over to him from across the dinner table just yet.

George looked at the present in blue wrapping. A shiny green bow was placed on top of it, although to him, the colour isn't as vibrant as what he assumed it was supposed to be. "A birthday present? Already?" George asked as he looked over at his friend.

"Yeah, it kind of needs to be used now, before your birthday." Dream said as he folded his hands on the table. His food was pushed over to the side of him, Dream's focus was all on the brunet now. He was an excellent gift-giver, it was his favourite thing in the world. He loved to spoil his friends.

George peeled back the wrapping paper, there, sitting in the box, was a ticket.

"Uhm," George looked up at Dream, a little hurt. "Are you trying to send me away already?" George took the plane ticket from the box and studied it closer.

"No, no, look where it's at," Dream said with a smile.

George took an even closer look, "The pumpkin patch?" George asked, just to be sure. He never got to go to any as a kid and when he finally was able to, he never had the time.

"Yeah, there is a hayrack ride, a corn maze, 'haunted' houses," Dream made air quotations with his fingers. "It's fun, I was thinking we'd go for your birthday. But it's only open for October, so I thought we'd go early." Dream took a breath. "I thought we'd head up to North Carolina to be with Karl for your special day."

George stared at the ticket. His stomach was bubbling.

Crisp fall weather, yellow and red leaves littering the ground, their feet crunching them with every step. And all of that would be with Dream. George smiled.

"I can't wait Dream." George stood up and walked over to Dream. He hugged him tightly.

"I'm so happy that I can finally spend my birthday with you next to me." Then George did something that would change Dream's feelings for George forever.

He kissed his cheek.

George walked off into the kitchen with his plate. Dream was unable to move. Subconsciously, Dream's fingers went up to touch the little place George's lips had touched him.

It burned. His fingertips were hot and his face was just as red and warm.

Why was his stomach filled with butterflies? Why did that little spot on his cheek tingle with electricity?

He couldn't...

Could he?

No.

Oh but the way Dream felt when he saw George look into his eyes. The way he would do anything for the brunet if he asked. How he would lay awake at night with no drop of sleepiness left in his body. Because he knew that the next morning he would be able to talk to the brunet.

How sometimes when he had his hands down his trousers the image of George would enter his mind.

Sometimes that image would even be the thing to send him over the edge, even when he tried to push the thought away, it would linger. And he would finish to the idea of his best friend.

Fuck.

Dream liked George.

A little bit more than he had thought he did.

-Two Days Later In North Carolina-

"George, come on!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Just hold on!" George was in his bedroom, getting ready for the night. George had the entire night planned out, he was ready for this experience. It would be amazing, it would be something that has never happened before.
