George was alone in the call now. It was upon himself to sign off and say goodbye to the chat. Which he wanted to do quickly, especially since he felt like he could throw up.

Not for a bad reason. He didn't really know why he felt such a way. Maybe it was because of the way Dream acted tonight, and how his flustered over-analyzing made George have butterflies. Or maybe it was worry, his best friend had left the call without a proper goodbye. That was something Dream didn't do often... Unless something was wrong of course.

George knew Dream well. He did. He knew his mannerisms. Like how when he got flustered he would try to find every single reason for why he did it in order to defend himself. He would constantly try to make up for the fact that he embarrassed himself. Multiple excuses as to why he did something. Which only ever made him look even more like a fool.

George knew that when he was embarrassed and only ruined it for himself, Dream ran away.

George knew that Dream was probably beating himself up over this.

So George said his goodbyes and left the call. But he wasn't done for the night. No, he needed to get Dream to talk to him. He needed him to be able to get him in a call alone. No audience, no pressure. Just them.

George: Call me.

George: Please dude. Call me.

George: Please, so I can reassure you. Please, Dream.

One missed call from George

Dream glanced down at his phone. Three new messages and a missed call lingered on his notification board, dying to be opened. He was eager to open them. But then the flashback of tonight went through his head.

Instead, he swiped them away and clicked his phone off.

He groaned when he heard it begin to ring.

He couldn't stop himself from answering this time.

"Dream you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Dream played it off. George saw right through him.

"You left without even saying bye to chat, or me..." There was a tint of hurt in his voice. Soft and quiet, barely even noticeable. But Dream noticed it.

"I just had to go. I knew you would end it for me."

"And I did. But what happened? Are you okay?" Dream was silent on the other end. He listened as George sighed.

"You're overthinking again," George said quietly.

"Maybe."

"You know it was nothing, Dream," George said softly, trying to get the words to reach Dream despite them being an ocean they had to travel across. "Just a stupid quiz, like with everything else, you read way too much into."

"And how do you know that?" Dream asked. He wanted reassurance.

"Because I know you."George took in a shaky breath. "And I know you aren't in love with me."

Dream bit his lip. Was that true? Did George believe that?

"How? How do you know that, George?" Dream was egging him on, wanting evidence. Because Dream really didn't believe it.

Dream thought about George's smile. The way his lips could curve into a grin. What would it be like to kiss those lips? Would George let him?

"Because I've been friends with you for years. I know how you act when you are in love. I've met the people you're in love with. I can hear it in your voice when you love someone like that. How you treat them, how you talk to them. You don't have that with me."

Dream was silent as he let George continue.

"You aren't in love with me, you just love me." George as he fiddled with his fingers, his shoulder keeping his phone in place.

"What does that even mean?"

"You love me as a best friend. And when you do something, it's all or nothing. You love me so much, Dream. I know that. But your brain is trying to tell you to 'do or die' you think you have to be in love with me. You're confused, you're mixed up. Your feelings for me and Sapnap are so strong that you think it should be more." George's voice broke. "But you don't have to let it be. Especially since I know you don't love me like that." George's voice grew more confident, stronger. Not teasing like he was on the call earlier, but warm to comfort his friend.

"You overanalyze everything. You looked way too much into those questions and it made you think you liked me. but you don't."

No, that wasn't true, and Dream knew that.

"That's not true." Dream said, his phone tightening in his hand. His face burned with embarrassment.

George's eyes blew wide. He was confused.

"That quiz made me embarrassed not for the reason you think." Dream took a shaky breath. "It was because it made my feelings visible to the entire world to see. They all know."

"Dream what are you saying-"

Dream cut him off, "Today made me realize something, George." Butterflies were back, George felt like he was flying. What was this feeling? "I don't need a quiz to know that I'm in love with you."

Based on that little situation from the other night.

This is mainly just like all filler. It's really short and was kinda just filled with rambling.

Hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing :D
