"King! Kiiinnng!" The blonde called looking around his backyard. He had just gotten home from a long day at work, and had made sure to leave his dog in his pen, behind his house. However, the pet was nowhere to be seen. Katsuki bent down, looking into the dog house. Nothing. He then stood up once more, looking around the yard. His eyes then stopped on the corner of the fence, where a broken piece of wood was. His heart stopped. Katsuki took a deep breath, shakily pulling out his phone as he walked towards the fence. He looked over it, seeing his neighbor's backyard. King wasn't there either. He had probably gotten out, and he wasn't that far. The tall man clicked around on his phone screen, before pressing on a name in his contact list. He put the mobile up to his ear, listening to the rings. It rang once... Twice... A third time... And he was eventually sent to voicemail.

Hi, this is Izuku Midoriya! I'm currently unavailable, so please leave a message! I'll get back to you as soon as I can!

A tone was heard, meaning it was recording him. The blonde sighed.

"Ah... Hi, Deku. I know you're at work, and you're only getting off in an hour or so, but I lost King. I left him in his pen, and I forgot to block the broken fence... So... If ever you see him, call me. Oh, and... Maybe even- Gah, nevermind. Just- Wanted to let you know. Hope everything's good... Bye." He spoke. Bakugou then shoved his phone in his pocket, before walking inside. He had to eat. King was going to show up soon enough. The blonde made himself a frozen meal, after putting it into the Microwave for several minutes. It wasn't the best, but it was getting late. Plus, he didn't have much of an appetite, giving that his dog was missing.

The man then got into the shower, trying to get his mind of of his pet. However, it didn't work. Moreover, halfway through his shower, his phone started to ring. He quickly picked it up, not caring about the chances of it getting wet, and put it up to his ear.

"Hello?" He asked, standing out of the shower. He swiftly grabbed a towel, before hearing his friend speak.

"Kacchan! Oh, I just got off work! Sorry I missed your call... You said King was missing? Gosh, that's terrible! I'll head up to my place, check on Mochi, then go around town for him, 'kay? You can relax at home if you want. I'm sure your day was hectic... Or, you can get in with me. My car is out of the shop... So, I have an extra seat!" He heard the greenette speak. The blonde walked out of the bathroom, glancing at the clock. It was 7:37... A little late. It was getting dark out too...

"I- Uh, is it okay if I get in with you?" He asked, walking to his bedroom. He heard the curly haired boy agree.

"Of course! I'll be at your place in 15 minutes, alright? See ya soon!" Bakugou heard the boy hang up, which led him to put his phone down. He quickly got dressed, before heading towards the door. His friend was already parked in front of his house, leaned against his car.

"Ah, Kacchan! Come on! I have a few places where we can check for King. I was thinking the park, then we could make our way down the popular pathways... And then- If you're okay with it, we could check around the highway! I hear a lot of dogs end up lost on them... Which is really dangerous, if you ask me-" The greenette rambled. Katsuki stared as the boy spoke and spoke. Yet, all he could think of, was...

Nothing.

He was tired.

His dog was missing.

He was in love.

He was... Going insane.

The blonde kept quiet, before getting into the passenger seat of the car. Izuku followed his friend into the vehicle, driving off to some places. The windows were down, which let a chilly wind into the car. However, none of the boys really noticed. They were too focused on their surroundings. Looking around in the dark for a dark colored dog wasn't an easy task. Both males kept a close eye around, calling for the pet. But nothing happened. No dog was found running towards them. It was just two people, driving around in the dark, calling out for something named King.

However, all of that changed when Izuku drove past a the park once more. His headlights flashed on a small patch of fur, which was lying next to the street, up the hill. Katsuki's breath hitched at the sight of his dog. He quickly unbuckled his belt, opening the door, even if the vehicle wasn't stopped. Midoriya called after him, but the blonde didn't stop. He was too happy. His beloved pet was there! He was right there in front of him!

"King!" The man called, approaching the animal. However, the dog didn't move... Bakugou's smile faded once he reached the dog.

"Kacchan, gosh, wait!" Izuku called, from behind him. But... Katsuki's wasn't focused on him at all. His attention was on his pet. It was lying there, right in front of his feet. Unresponsive. The 22-year-old bent down, shaking the cold animal gently. But it didn't look up to him, as it usually did. It's chest wasn't rising, nor falling, as it usually did. Nothing was the same...

King was gone.
