Doors of Death

Addi~
I was so happy.

Nico and I had finally broke apart after the kiss, and we just stayed there.

Eventually, we went back to our cabins.

I laid on my bed and quickly fell asleep. The problem with falling asleep was the dreams.

I was in a place that looked like Rome. Then I felt hands grab me. The last thing I saw before I woke up was a bronze jar.

I sat up with a start. I shook off the dream and went outside.

I walked around and saw Nico by the lake.

I quietly snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around him.

He turned around and kissed me slowly but passionately.

"Hey listen. I'm going to go search for the Doors of Death. I want you to come with me."

I was quite for a long time. I wanted to go, but then I thought about what Annabeth told me about my brother, Percy. I had to see him.

"I'm sorry Nico. I have to see Percy. I would love to come with you, but I can't."

I was almost in tears. He saw right through my fake smile and pulled me in a hug.

He kissed my forehead and made a promise I'll never forget.

"I will see you again. I swear it on the River Styx."

Annabeth~
I was sitting in my cabin thinking about Percy.

We were going to get Percy tomorrow. I was excited to say the least.

Then I saw something that made my heart break. I saw Addi. She was running towards the forest, tears streaming down her face.

I quickly got up and followed. When I got to her, she was sitting on a log crying her eyes out.

"What's wrong?" I questioned.

"Nico wanted me to come with him to find the Doors of Death, but I wanted to see Percy. I-I..."

"It will be okay. It will get better. Wait, sense when are you and Nico going out?"

I questioned just to change the subject.

Obviously, the whole camp new that they were dating. Word gets around at camp.

She giggled which then turned into a laugh.

"Since today. We went for a swim, my idea of course, and we had a lot of fun, and then we kissed."

I already knew the story. I was there watching them.

But I didn't tell her that. We sat there and laughed until the sun went down.

We walked back to the cabins and went our separate ways.

Little did I know at the time that it would be our last peaceful day.
