The next couple of days were basic training and touring around the Mystery Shack to try and jog my memory. Despite everything, I actually found this job really fun! It was like working in the fashion industry! You know, just cheaper, and more weird. Along with the job I got to know my co-workers too, apparently Dipper isn't 10, they're 12, and had a twin too, Mabel. Dipper was more quiet and, well, I actually can't tell if he's sarcastic or just a know-it-all. Mabel on the other hand was loud enough you could hear her from the other side of the shack sometimes, she was more open-minded and tend to share her thoughts a lot.. Maybe too much... And of course Wendy and Soos were there too! I ended up learning pretty early that Soos Idolizes our boss for some reason, I don't really like him that much I mean he said I lost my brain cells, and while that may or may not be true I still did not like hearing it. I have no idea how I was able to work with them in the past, but I guess I did. And now... My favorite part of my job... Which was, well, sleeping on the job during tours.
It was a pretty normal day today, it was June 7th, I was simply cleaning around the Gift Shop when suddenly Soos, Mabel, and Dipper came in talking about some kind of mystery door? Buried treasure? I didn't really hear them exactly but I just shrugged and followed them leaving a broom I was previously using behind. "So I was cleaning, when I suddenly found this door behind the wallpaper. It's crazy bonkers creepy!" Soos explained while opening this mystery door "How big even is this shack?"
I asked aloud as Mabel shrugged going inside as well as everyone. "Woah, it's a wax museum!" Dipper commented "They're so life like too!" Mabel add on in awe. "Well except that one" Dipper pointed at one that, well. Looked like- "Hello!" "AAAAAAH!" We all screamed at the sudden voice "Haha, it's just me! You're Grunkle Stan!" "AAAAAAHH!!"
We screamed even louder starting to cling to each other as our boss just kept laughing, turning on the lights "Alright alright. That's enough." Stan said trying to calm everyone else down. "Grunkle Stan what is this place? Why is it even boarded up?" Dipper asked in concern looking around the room, "Glad you asked, this is the Gravity Falls Wax Museum! It used to be one of our most popular attractions actually, until well, I completely forgot about it." Stan explained and started to show off the wax statues. Wow, this was surely a collection to forget about, sarcasm of course. I mean come on, was that Sherlock Holmes? There's surely someone here who would pay to see! Yeah, no never mind. "Is it just me or does anyone else get the creeps here?" Dipper comments again as Stan made his was to a completely melted figure, "And now for my personal favorite, Wax Abraham Linc-- Oh! Oh no! Come On! Who left the blinds open!? Wax John Wilks Booth I'm looking at you." Our boss complained before kneeling down before the wax "How do you even fix something like this?" Mabel came in by Stan "Don't worry, Grunkle Stan. I can make you a new wax figure out of all of this old wax!" Stan looked at her in doubt, "I dunno, do you think you can really make one of these?" "Grunkle Stan please, I'm an arts and crafts master. Why do you think I always have this glue gun stuck to my arm?" Mabel lifted her arm to reveal a glue gun, which was stuck to her sweater sleeve before trying to shake it off. "I like your gumption kid!" Stan replies "I don't know what that means, but thank you." Mabel says taking the compliment.
Well that was the most interesting day apart of my day. After Mabel started working on her sculpture I decided to clock out for the day. My walk home was quiet, the evening breeze was pleasant too. Looking around I noticed something weird flash by, I sharply turned my head around. Man, what was that, a mix of red? Blue? I only shrugged, 'Could have been a bird.' I thought to myself before I began walking again.
Making my way to the cottage door I fumbled with my keys, grabbing the right one and unlocking the door. It looked like it was another day of no Eden again, where do they work anyways? I only shrugged again 'Not my business, as long as it's not illegal or something' Entering the kitchen I grabbed some dinner that I could just microwave, I don't think I'm trusted with an Oven or stove yet. 'probably not that toaster thing either.' I sighed as I started heating up my food, and wondered around the house, 'This place is so small compared to the Mystery Shack, where does Eden even sleep?' I remember about the second floor of the cottage which merely contained an attic. On the first floor was a living room, kitchen, bathroom, my room, and a door that lead to some mini garden. 'Could her room be in the attic?' I looked up for some kind of entrance to the attic, "She wouldn't mind if I took a look right?" I thought aloud before getting interrupted by the microwave. "I guess I can just ask her if I remember." I say walking away from the attic's entrance. After dinner I ended up getting ready for bed. and slept.

My eyes felt open, I look up to see... a simple hospital room next to me being a woman I knew now as Eden. Oh right, wasn't this how I woke up at first? "Eden?" The woman looked up, her eyes looked.. different. "Oh no! Y/N I was sooo worried about you!" Eden lamented hugging onto me, she sounded weird. "Haha, but that's what you think she said, right? Right?" Eden let go of me smiling, her eyes now shut. I only laughed "Haha, I mean I shouldn't doubt my memory. And this wouldn't be an excuse of course, I'm pretty sure this is just another lucid dream or something Eden." I said getting up from the bed then going for the door, only to be stopped. "Wouldn't open that if I were youu." Eden taunted as I shrugged. "Nah it's fine." I say without a second thought, opening the door only to see nothing below. "Oh, that is a uh- long drop huh?" I say aloud turning around but, seeing no body. The room's furniture was gone too. Just an empty. Grey. Room. "Was this really how I woke up? I mean. I remember it that way but.. I don't know I guess it's just off--"
I was woken up by a phone call. I groggily reached out for the phone "This is Y/N." I yawn. "Hey dude! It's me Soos! There's this Wax figure thing at the Mystery Shack right now! You're totally missing out." Soos explained over the phone. "Oh yeah, that's right. What did Mabel sculpt anyways?" I ask. "She made Stan dude-- It's so glittery too!" my eyes widened at the statement, "Wow, that kid is impressive. Anyways I'll get over in a bit, see ya." I say before hanging up and getting ready for the day. This morning was really weird for me though, I couldn't really remember my dream, which, sucked. Going out of my room I saw Eden on the couch, she looked over to me "Oh Y/N! Hey!" Eden called out as I nodded "Sup. Oh- Uhm, Soos was talking about some wax museum thing today, you wanna come? If you're like- free that is?" I offered, yawning once again as Eden looked around. "Yeah sure, lemme get my shoes one real quick I left them upstairs." Eden agreed getting off the couch and pulling down the ladder for the attic. "Oh yeah, attic. That's your room?" I ask as she simply nodded, "Yeah, nothing too special, I gotta clean up a bit actually." She explained going upstairs for a moment before dropping a pair of rain boots down before her herself came down to put on her shoes. "Welp. I'm done, you wanna like- get yourself some breakfast first?" I nod going into the kitchen then coming out with a bag of snacks. And with that we both start our walk to the Mystery Shack once again.
