"I. . . Do not recall a single thing. I'm, so.. Sorry.. uh.." I looked hopelessly at the woman in front of me grabbing onto my shoulders who appeared to be holding back tears. "It's.. Me, Y/N. Y/n my name is Eden don't you remember we grew up together!" The woman, Eden, paused before letting go of me and standing up. Trying to recollect her thoughts, mumbling nonstop, hearing little "How could I let this happen?" and "Do they not remember anything?" I felt guilty for the stranger, All I remembered was the strange dream, surrounding my body in light before she shook me awake. I couldn't focus on a single word she sputtered out. Eden.. Her name was vague, and she sure as hell doesn't stick out to me either. She wore a regular button up and black pants, as well as a brown jacket littered with patches. Her hair was tied up into a neat bun. She turned back to me, "Here, let me help you up. I'll explain everything, just--" Eden sharply turned her head around "Let's get somewhere safer. These woods aren't exactly trustworthy." I could only nod, too tired to really care.

"Would, uhm. You like to ask the questions yourself Y/N. I don't wanna just info dump on you haha.." I looked around to the forest, the mesmerizing lighting from the early sun. "Where.. Are we exactly?" I asked first, "Ah, of course. We're in a small town called Gravity Falls. We're in the state of Oregon. Right now we're heading heading to my house." I nodded in response 'Gravity.. Falls.' At the very least it sounds familiar. "How old are we?" Eden stops for a moment to look at me wide-eyed, wow, her eyes-- are... really fucking weird. "My goodness Y/N how much did you forget?" Eden sighed softly before answering "I'm 18, you're 17. you turn 18 next month though. We've both already graduated High School." I nodded again listening as she turns to me again "You uhm, remember what High School is. Right?" She asked in a hushed tone, it would've been mocking if I actually knew. I started nodding my head once more... then slowly started to shake it. "Oh dear... This is worse than I thought... Nonetheless maybe some sleep could help. More proper care could do the trick right..?" Eden explained, muttering the last part. We both drifted into silence for a while

". . .Do you think you remember yourself?" Eden suddenly asked, I tilted my head as Eden began to elaborate. "Y'know, personality? Interest? Habits? I mean there has to be more you remember than just simple speech." I started to nod "Well, I seem to be able to recall dream like episodes of well, what dreaming is uh-- like?" Eden giggled a little bit "Haha, yeah. You have this dream journal at the house that you wrote in daily. I really don't know how you do it I barely remember mine!" I started to smile a bit at Eden's statement. "Really? Wow.. Maybe that's why I'm so sleepy too." Eden smiled back, looking at the forest sky "You're like a cat, I don't know how you're always able to get to sleep on time really." Her head drops and her body comes to a stop before making a 180 turn. "Here we are. I'll let you settle in, I have to make a few calls real quick Y/N. Let me show you where your room is." Eden explained, a small cottage behind her, the walls white, the roof green, or was that just moss? Eden unlocks the door and opens it for me showing me to my room.

My room was small, but nice. It felt like, home. In a weird way, the walls were a pale f/c with small decorations here and there. In the room there was also a small Vanity, plastered with photos including me, Eden, and other individuals I couldn't recognize. Looking into the mirror I could catch a general sense of my appearance. H/l h/c hair, s/t skin, e/c eyes, and my clothes looked comfortable. "Wow. That's uh. Me." I snickered to myself "Yeah no shit Y/N." I left the vision of the mirror to sit on my bed.

Looking onto my nightstand I noticed the drawers. Opening them in curiosity I found a book, 'This must be the dream journal Eden talked about earlier." Looking inside I found passages among passages. Some long, some short, but always in great detail. Some were quite funny and weird, some were depressing and more were increasingly strange. Of course as I started to read one of the strange ones I hear a knock on the door. "Hey, Y/N, can I come in?" "Yeah, Sure!" I replied as the door creaked open. "Alright, so as of today it is May 29th, 2012. As for more details upon your life, and what we're gonna do about your current.. Memory issues." Eden sat down next to me at a respectable distance "Your name is Y/N L/N. You're 17 years old, you turn eighteen this June, June 12th.(I know y'alls Birthdays aren't on June 12th I just needed a consistent date for them.) You work at a tourist attraction here in town called 'The Mystery Shack' I've had to call you in due to your, uh. 'sudden accident'" Eden explained using air quotes for her last statement. "This week we'll be looking at a couple doctor appointments, Neurologist first and then we'll see what we can do from there." Eden explained as I stared blankly at Eden in confusion. "A person who will help you out in case something happened with your brain." Eden explained again as I made an "o."

"For now though.. I'll go look for something to cook in the kitchen. I'll call you when it's all ready. Remember, eat slowly or you'll get sick, okay Y/N?" "Alright." I agreed as Eden left, and eventually after a while after a quiet and, rather awkward dinner Night fell and I found myself drifting to sleep. . .
