4: When she got hurt

Minhyeok visited Minji every week. It annoyed the hell out of Yoohyeon. He knew that they were married but he's taking advantage of the situation of Minji not remembering her. She was visibly irritated when Minhyeok passed by her with a smirk plastered on his face, going to Minji's room. Yoohyeon was in the reception and the staff could see how red the doctor was from it. A nurse tapped her arm,

"Professor Kim? The chart that you want is printed out." Yoohyeon regained her composure and shook her head. She sighed heavily and gave a small smile to the nurse. Today is going to be a long day. They have to check a total of 11 patients because of a bus accident that happened the other night.

"Thank you." Yoohyeon bowed and walked away, going to the patient that needed her. The whole time, her mind was just filled with Minji. She wanted to cry, of course. She wanted to be in Minji's presence 24/7. Even though Minji doesn't remember her, she still feels comfort and warmth with her. Gahyeon noticed the distress of her best friend so when they went out of the room, she said,

"Go to her." Yoohyeon looked at Gahyeon with a confused face.

"Go to Minji unnie. You're not being yourself now and it's dangerous for the patients if you don't have a clear mind. You might misdiagnose them and it's going to be dangerous for both. I'll check them instead since we have 3 patients left." Yoohyeon beamed and hugged the younger.

"Thank you thank you! I'll pay you back someday, Gahyeon." The younger doctor hugged Yoohyeon back and ushered her to go. Yoohyeon ran back towards Minji's room, stopping in front of Minji's door. She placed her ear near the door but she couldn't hear anything.

Yoohyeon opened the door without notice and saw Minhyeok slowly opening Minji's hospital gown. Minji's mouth was covered with a piece of cloth and her hands and legs were tied. Minji was trying to get out of the ties but it was too tight. She saw how Minji's eyes flashed with fear, scared for whatever this disgusting prick is doing to her.

"Kang Minhyeok!" Yoohyeon ran and gave a punch to Minhyeok's face. Minji's eyes widened with the sudden movement of the younger. She just wanted to get out of here, get these ties out of her and let Yoohyeon hug her. Her breathing got more ragged and tears were forming in her eyes. She felt so hopeless, disgusted, and terrible. The nurses quickly ran towards the room after hearing the noise and stopped Yoohyeon from advancing further.

"Professor Kim, you need to stop. Your license could be harmed by this. You might lose your job." Yoohyeon calmed down and looked at Minji. Nurse Min removed Minji from the tied state and gave comforting strokes on her back. She had her hands covering her chest and she was trembling. Yoohyeon grabbed Minhyeok by his collar and stood him up. She raised her fist again but Minji managed to say,

"Yoohyeonnie, p-please, stop. Come t-to me instead, please?" She looked at Minji who was begging her with her eyes, telling her to stop, telling her to go to her instead. Yoohyeon, go to her. Don't fuck up and turn away this time. She wanted to punch this guy one more time but the way Minji looks right now makes it impossible to do. And she'll always choose Minji over everything. Yoohyeon loosened her grip on his collar and directed him towards the door.
