Clara's POV

I still had not received any texts from Sam ever since he erupted last night. Even though Sam is a short-tempered individual but he does have his plus points that anchor my devotion to him.

I haven't had much luck with guys since my teenage years, I guess it's because of my introvert nature. Sam was a simple and down-to-earth guy without any bad habits like clubbing or drinking, it was this trait that fed my primary need for security in a relationship.

I decided it wasn't worth it to start a cold war with each other over such a small matter. So I took the initiative to make it up to him by ordering a staycation package at Carlos five star hotel in Las Vegas during my leave period which I applied for it months ago.

I gladly made the purchase for it online on Carlos Hotel web page. Just when I thought everything was going to be alright, I saw an email from Jerald, one of our company's marketing team leader. I dropped my jaw upon reading the content of his email:

"Dear Colleagues,

There's a marketing team analysis meeting on the 19/5/16. Please inform me if you're unable to attend the meeting

Regards,
Jerald"

Oh no! That's during my leave period! Since I can't do a refund for my costly Carlos Staycation package, I decided to brace the "storm" and reply Jerald about my leave period.

Not long after I hit the "sent" button, Jerald came storming out of his office in his "dumpling" attire. He had a double chin and his fats were wobbly in his tight shirt and pants that made him looked like a Chinese dumpling. He frowned and berated me in front of everyone like I had a non-existence dignity, "How could you go on leave during such an important meeting?! That's very irresponsible of you!"

In my defence, I fended myself since I felt so maligned, "Er... But I got my leave approved months way ahead before your notification."

I felt like punching his freaking wobbly belly like the "one punch man" in the famous anime as I said that. I mean how could he even utter and used the word "irresponsible" on me?! I've been freaking slogging my ass off for this job and this company despite the unrecognition of my effort. I clearly know I did nothing wrong and I deserve the right to explain myself.

"How dare you... Well, let's see how your work review ranking will be then," He scoffed at me before he left.

I was pissed, but after a while, I didn't give a damn to him as I was adamant on leaving this job upon the completion of my bond in two year time.
