"You're The One" (Ted Mosby()How I Met Your Mother) Under editing

"Sooo is that a yes?"

Gemma POV 

God yesterday was hard, talking with Robin felt good, but I wish I just could tell her the truth, the reason why I suddenly showed up, either way, it is Saturday today, 5 am wondering what I am going to do today. I have been thinking about going for a walk, but my knee was causing me hella pain right now so I don't think I can do that.

KNOCK KNOCK 

"Motherf##k" no need to knock that hard, I stood up and walked over to the door. I opened it and there he was, the man that could make me smile, the man that I love, the man I fell too fast for, there in the door stood, Ted. I smiled and stepped aside to let him in, as soon as he was in I walked over and hugged him, feeling his arms around me gave me a feeling of safety. 

His embrace gave me a feeling of love, I just wanted to stay like this, so when Ted was about to pull away I pulled him back. I could feel his confusion, but he hugged back, "everything okay Gemma?" I just held him tighter, after a long time I let him go.

He could see my tear-stained cheeks, he held my face in his hands and swiped his thumb over my cheeks a few times before he said."Gemma what's wrong" I looked down then back up at him and said, "I just feel so safe in your arms, I didn't want to let go". Ted looked at me and started to smile  "you don't need to let go, I'm right here, and I'm not leaving you okay?".

I smiled at him and sat down on the couch, "so why did you come here?" I asked taking his hand "well because of two things 1. you are going to live with me and sell this place without a fight, 2. do you want to go on a date with me?" Ted asked. He then pulled out these red, blue, white, and green flowers and gave them to me, I just smiled and kissed him.

"Sooo is that a yes?" I nodded like crazy hugging him, "good ill pick you up at 3 pm, wear something casual and no makeup, oh and properly also something to swim in," I looked at him confused and said "Why no makeup and why do I need a swimsuit?" he just smiled and stood up "I guess you just have to wait to find out" I giggled and he left.

   The thing she wears + her swimwear is in a chapter for themself 

TIME SKIP 

I have just packed a little backpack with swimwear, towels, and extra clothing I was on my way to put my shoes on when I heard a knock. I walked over and opened it, Ted stood at the door with a red flower he was smiling like a child. I kissed him on the cheek and took on my other boot.

"WOW you look amazing Gemma", I laughed a bit and looked him up and down before responding, "You to Ted, oh and I brought a bag with-" "extra clothing, swimwear, and towels" I just looked at him a bit wired, "Robin told me" oh well that makes sense.

So you see, as a child sometimes my dad would let me and my brothers go over to Robin, and her little sister's house, when we got older, we all sometimes had trips together. I would always pack extra everything, not only for me but for everyone. But that all stopped I do miss it tho just spending time with family, luckily I soon have a family dinner where everybody meets up. 

 "You ready to go?" Ted told me holding out his hand for me, I took it with a giggle and locked the door, we took the elevator down and walked out to the street. Ted called an uber over and told him to drive us to the beach, "Sooo the beach huh?" Ted looked over and smiled, he looked happy and I'm sure he could see that I also look happy. 

Ted POV 

We were in the uber, I had decided to take Gemma on a night beach date, I looked over at her and she smiled. Her smile made me happy, I knew she was the one, I have never felt this way about anyone ever. I just hope Gemma feels the same way I do. 

We soon after arriving at the location I help Gemma out, and we walk down to where I have set up (picture in next chapter). "OMG TED this is amazing I love it", I look at her, pull her into a kiss, and she kisses back we both pull away smiling like children. "shall we sit?" I extend my hand to her and she took it, I lead her over to the blanket in the sand. 

We just sat and talk for a bit, it starts to get dark and I look at her as the moons weak light lit up her face. "Let's go swimming" I smile at her, we go to the toilets to change, and we both meet back down at the blanket. I look at her, and god she is beautiful in that swimwear. 

Suddenly someone pulls my arm, Gemma is dragging me to the water, I just take her over my shoulder and walk down to the water with a laughing Gemma over my shoulder. When I'm at the water, I put her down, she jumps up on me just as fast as I put her down, she yells "TEDDDD it is COLD". I couldn't help but laugh, I hold her under her butt.

She looks at me and kisses me, the longer I go out the tighter she holds me, trying to claim longer up to avoid the water. But I walk out so far that it touches the middle of her back, "this is an amazing date, Ted." I look at her and I can't stop smiling. 

We get out of the water after almost 2 hours of being in, and having fun, we change and pack up. We decide to just walk for a bit, "so there is a family dinner coming up, I thought maybe you would like to be my date to the dinner?" I looked at her surprised and said, "only if I get to call you mine" she looks at me then she stops. "Then you have to ask probably." I turn to her and take both her hands.

"Gemma Parker would you like to be my girlfriend", her smile dropped and she got tears in her eyes, she started nodding. "yes, yes, yes, YES TED I would love to be your girlfriend I have wanted nothing more than to call you my boyfriend".
