Marry Me?

So this is a bit much dramatic but here's the reason why so I made this dramatic because I wanted to make a part in my stories sad and show that grieving is hard I wanted to do so to also make the readers see how much love Ted and Gemma do love each other and that thing like this does happen please don't report it, thank you     

Ted 

As I woke up I felt sad, I felt lonely, the left side was empty, I didn't even want to get up, Gemma was out of town for a few weeks to go visit her grandma, she was sick. I understood why she had to leave, but I didn't know it would be for this long, I decided to try and get my mind off things, it has been quite hard these past few weeks because I miss Gemma so much. I wanted to spend time with my friends, we hadn't done that much lately but that was only because we all had our own things to look after, Barney had just come home from a visit with his brothers, Lily and Marshall had been taking time for themself and Robin she had a lot with the news there had been problems. 

Then there was me, I was busy working on a building and being with Gemma until she left. After that my work has been taking time, so today I was taking time for myself and my friends, I invited them to hang out and they all agreed to go and it makes me happy that I can spend some time with my friends. I stood up out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to get some coffee and a bowl of cereal, I walked into the living room turning on the news I didn't really care about what was said. I picked up the phone and called Gemma, 

"Hello?" her voice sounded tired and raspy but like a her, "Hey Gemma it is me Ted" it was silent for a bit then she said, "Hey Ted, I heard you had a meeting with the guys" I listened to the tired voice of Gemma sounding irritated. 

"Yeah, here tonight...but..umm Gemma is everything okay? you sound irritated" I heard her take a few breaths and a glass smash "Yes everything except when I got here grandma wasn't here, she isn't here anymore". I couldn't get a word out, I felt so bad that I can't be there to give her a hug and comfort her, they must have held the funeral, I couldn't believe it, Gemma had told me stories about that how amazing her grandma was. 

"Umm...Ted, I just can't do this right now", I was confused but I think I knew what she was talking about."What?" I could hear her crying "Ted It's so hard for me right now, she gave me her house, it's just so hard, just standing in it, I'm gonna stay out here at her house for a few more weeks, it is only an hour away from New York." My mind went blank, what was this going to mean for our relationship "what about us? "I said with a trembling voice "I'm sorry Ted," her tone said everything, I hung up, took my jacket, and went down to the bar, I needed something really strong I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she broke up with me. I just lost the love of my life, I love her and I know that it is because of everything that had happened lately.

I have been drinking quite a lot, I am quite drunk and the others started coming into the bar, Barney was the first one to come over "Hey Ted so you don't look good, but I am just AMAZINGGG". 

Nobody

Ted looked slightly up at Barney, Barney sat next to Ted. "What happened Ted? ", before he could get an answer the rest of them came walking in, (Robin, Marshall, and Lily) "Hey guys what's up". They looked at Barney then at Ted whose head hung, head in hands, Barney stood up and walked a bit away with them."Guys something bad happened, he must have been crying for hours." After he had said that they walked back to Ted, "What's wrong Ted?" Robin asked he picked up his head and looked at them, they sat down, Marshall sat down next to Ted giving him a side hug, he knew it was something with Gemma. 

"Gemm she lost her grandma, she broke up with me over the phone, she said she couldn't and it was too much for her. I... I just don't know what to do now, I think of talking to her about things".

They all hugged Ted when the door opened in walked Gemma in all black, she had changed, her hair was cut into a bob cut and brown. "Hey, Karl have you seen Ted? I was at his apartment but he wasn't here". They all looked at her even Ted, "Over there" Karl pointed over to the table where they were sitting. Gemma rushed over to the table, taking a chair to look Ted in the eyes "Ted, I made a mistake, I broke up with the one man that made me happy, the man who was the light of my life and I don't know what to do without you. If I could I would get down on one knee and ask you to marry me, to make sure you will be mine I can't I just can't lose you".  

Ted stood leand over to Gemma, Ted pulled her into a tight hug, hugged him back, and cried "I'm so so so so sorry, I love you, Ted Mosby, I love you more than anything and I realized how important it is to be with the people you love" Ted and Gemma hugged and cried, out of nowhere Ted started laughing, he let go of Gemma and said "If you are proposing your really bad at it " then Gemma took his hand and looked deep into his eyes just falling more in love she then went down on one knee and said. 

"Then let me try again Ted Mosby I love you and a life without you is like dying, feeling you can't breathe Ted you're my lungs, Ted you are my light without you I wouldn't be able to live so would you do me the honor of becoming my husband and my life and lungs, will you marry me, Ted Mosby?"   

Ted slowly shed a few tears, slowly nodding his head as Marshall gave him a tisu to dry his eyes  "YESSS but just to be sure remind me of aging tomorrow because I'm drunk." Everybody laughed at Ted's answer, Gemma got up and kissed him 

Yeah it ended a bit wired but I hoped you liked it, there are not many chapters back but hope you like the story bye my loves
