"man, crack sure is one hell of a drug." amaris snickered, watching along with montana (aka slightly deranged roommate #1) amusedly as ange (aka slightly deranged roommate #2) (ok, maybe more than slightly) tore up her room in search of- well, who the fuck knows what she was in search of.
"akekekeke," ange rolls her eyes, holding up a hanger and using it to point at her best friend, "don't play with me, mari. my bandana top wasn't in raya's room so it's obviously in yours."
"yeah, well, maybe you'd know where your shit was if you actually did the laundry," montana raised an eyebrow.
"you thought you ate that. bitch you don't do it either?" mari holds back a laugh at ange's comeback, "you always over at- what's that nigga's name again? ne-yo? rio? whatever, you always at his crib."
"it's gio," montana corrects, "and fuck him, forreal this time."
"what he do? actually, never mind. ion wanna know shit unless it's concerned with my top." ange then walks out into the hallway, leaving mari to get all up in tana's business about what was currently going on between her and gio.
"so, you know how i told y'all he took my car to louisville to see family?" mari nodded, her eyes not leaving the assignment that was due in 17 minutes, "yeah, well that was a fucking lie."
"i hate to say i told you so, but..."
"yeah yeah yeah, shut the fuck up." montana rolls her eyes, ignoring the sounds of ange shouting at raya (that would be deranged roommate #3) about her top, "anyway, so, when i called him he was talmbout sum 'my mama missed me, she wants to spend time wimme, i won't really be active like that so if ion pick up that's why-'"
"and you BELIEVED him? girl. no dick is good enough to have you out here acting this stupid." mari shot her friend a look of disgust. "i know! it's just- i didn't want it to be true. i mean, he took my fucking car, and i had just put a full tank in that bitch too."
"please don't tell me i just heard what i think i did." ysa (deranged roommate #4) comes waltzing into the room, proudly eating a tub of mari's ice cream which she specifically told none of her roommates to touch.
"i- okay." mari raised her arms in surrender, "you're lucky i'm focusing my energy on killing gio's stupid ass. what's his ass doing in lousiville anyway? cause we know he ain't visiting nobody."
before montana could answer ysa beat her to it, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "i can actually answer that for you."

"...nah, we gotta get to louisville NOW. i'll get my brother to house-sit or sumn, i don't care." mari looked away from her work (which was now due in 10 minutes), making a mental note to text him as soon as she was done here.
"yeah, well, the only person in the friend group with a car gave it up to an ain't shit nigga-" ange purposely ignored the mug tana shot her, "and the good Lord knows i would rather die than take a Lyft all the way there, so how the fuck are we going to get there?"
the girls were interrupted by all their phones going off at the same time, each with the same instagram notification.

"i have no idea, but something tells me we now have more than one reason to head over to louisville."
