Jessa Anne Merlin, an orphan, an only child, and a maiden from Singapore who grew up remembering how her parents loved her before when they are still with her side. After her parents died, their family friend, Anastasia Merlin and her husband Andrew Merlin, took the responsibility of taking her in their custody, welcoming her as a new part of their family as they treat her as a Merlin. Upon her arrival in their family, she got an older brother from the Merlin family named Arjay Merlin.

They treated her as one of them, making sure that she is loved and given attention to. They gave everything she needed, taking care of her like what they'd promised to her biological parents. With the decision of finally coming home in the Philippines after several years, Jessa Anne together with her older brother, Arjay, decided to continue their studies in a well-known school just nearby their place, Angeles University.

Along with her life before, she has this things she never wanted and never asked for, but it was given to her even before she was born. Years have passed and she grew up as a normal young lady, but her life wasn't really the life she believed. A normal life, peaceful family, and a happy friendship. She have it all in her, but her life will be messed up and everything she has will be something she never has. Everything she had believed will all crumbled down to her feet as the reality and truths started to unfold before her.

Zachary Michael Angeles, first son of Drake Angeles and Michelle Angeles, and having a twin sister named Diana Mae Angeles. He is also a transferee in their University from Singapore. His family is rich for everything they has and they are owning a school, a school that will help him to fulfill his promise to someone he treasures.

He is someone who will do everything for this girl he love. He is this someone who isn't easy to surrender and give up everything he truly cared for. He will do whatever he said, whatever it takes for him to accomplish it.
