A Day Later

[•••]

Camari.

I really don't know why they're sending me in for this.

"Aren't fire fighters supposed to fight fires, not special agents?" I sighed, emphasizing the words with a swoosh of my hand.

"You're not fighting the fire, because there's no fire yet." General Bernard sighed as he looked to his computer screen, "The perpetrators are only threatening to burn the building."

"Right, so what's the plan?" I cross my arms across my chest.

"Go in there and get the files they're threatening to burn. They've stolen some files from another agent, keep in mind we've dealt with this group before, so let's try to be efficient. Agent 42 and Agent 41 will also be going with you." General Bernard finished his speech without even looking up from his computer.

"Alright." I sighed loudly as I made my way to the door.

"Do we have an issue Ms. Wright?" I turn around at his words. He adjusts his glasses and looks up at me, awaiting my response.

"No, sorry sir." I respond. He nods and I leave the room.

As I open the door, another woman is standing there, she was tall and brunette. It was the Generals wife, she visits every so often, so I nodded and scooted past her as she walked into his office.

Arrow.

I was sitting on the couch in the lounge, casually drinking a cup of coffee, and watching TV on the super old TV they have here. A knock erupts from the doorway.

"Get up." Cam said, leaning on the door frame. I sighed.

"But I just sat down." I whined, resting my head on the back of the couch.

"Well duty calls, so up you go." She smirks as she nods toward the hallway.

I chuckled and got up, acting like it was hard to do so, and she smiles slightly. As I walk by a rest a hand on her head and push her slightly put out of the doorway. She staggers a bit before sighing and running after me.

[•••]

Clove and Cam informed me of the mission in the car on our way to the site. I sat in the middle as the two girls sat on either side of me. Clove leaning to look out the window on her side, and Cam sitting up very straight against the cushioned car seats, looking at the front wind shield. All four of us stayed silent the whole way there, including the driver. There was really no need to talk anyways.

The driver parked the vehicle farther away from the site, before we made our way towards the targeted building.

"So," I added as we ran into an alleyway, "Whats the plan? I was thinking I could drop in through the roof and you guys bust the door down?"

"Sounds good, but if you can't get in the roof, just go the normal way. Alright, now keep your eyes peeled, they're most likely armed." Clove replied as Cam nodded in agreement to her statement.

"Right," I gave the two girls a salute, "See ya in there." The girls ran out of the alley and around the corner, whilst I hopped up onto a nearby dumpster and shot my grappling hook onto the top of the building.

Thank god this isn't a tall building.

The grappling hook caught with a vocal clang, which then allowed me to climb up the wall.

On the rooftop there was luckily a a skylight, which was just a window pane, leading down into the building. I took a quick look to the girls below, waiting to burst in the door. I gave a thumbs up and quickly jumped on the window pane, not worrying about cutting myself with the glass.

I landed on my feet with a hand on the ground to stabilize myself. As I landed the girls broke in from the door behind me, weapons drawn, both equipped with FNP 90's.

I stood, pulled my knives out and faced the 5 men and hostages infront of me.

I scoffed dramatically as I put a hand up to my nose, "You guys really went over board with the gasoline."

"Who are you and why are you here?!" Said a tall buff man with with a loud voice.

"Ah, I'm guessing you're Mr. Morrow?" I asked as I twirled the knives around my fingers. "They never said you'd be this unwelcoming."

"Shut up. How do you remember who I am, boy?" The Morrow guy answered, and I narrowed my eyes. He knows I caught that.

"You're quite popular with the authorities, sir." I smirked at him, as I watched his blood boil. I ignored his previous wording. His big forehead seemed to have started sweating, as his face twisted into an indescribable emotion.

"Now back to business." I start, "We're now here to shut you guys down, so cooperate and this'll be easy." I smirk once again as Morrows anger level seems to heighten. His little friends anger seems to rise aswell. I take a good look at all of them, until I stop at a scrawny one who starts speaking.

"So you're here for those files, huh?" He said hoarsely.

"Pretty much." Clove said stepping forwards, with her finger on the the trigger. "Now hand 'em over, and no one has to get hurt."

The other accomplices stood around, and raised their guns, fingers on the trigger. I just smiled as they wondered what to do next. But before anyone made a move a gunshot went off.
