The day went by slow as ever, but when it came to the end of the day I left to meet up with Lianna and June. They told me I can invite Cam, but I don't feel ready to tell her everything yet.
I hopped in my car and drove to a cafe to talk to my sister for the first time in almost 8 years.
[•••]
"So what have you guys done for most of these years?" I asked the two of them as the three of us sat down in a nice restaurant.
"We just walked around and shopped around the sector. Not much but we like it. It's our thing." Lianna shrugs, smiling at June. She smiled back.
"Cute, i'm glad you found someone." I smiled.
"Also like, 'round this time last year, Tom came back, but Mom refused to talk to him." Lianna sighed, as she waved her hand through the air.
"Really?!" I exclaimed. Putting my cup of coffee down before I spilled it. "Why would he come back after all these years?"
"Probably wanted money or something." June chimed in, leaning on the window sill.
"Maybe." Lianna agreed, taking a bite out of a pastry she bought.
"I always wondered what Mom saw in him." I shook my head, he was just a complete asshole, don't know how you love someone like that.
"Ditto." Lianna replied, shoving the pastry in her mouth before June could get a bite. The two of them laughed, even Lianna laughing through a mouthful of food.
"Your birthday's coming up right?" I asked to the air.
"Uh huh." She nodded.
"Cant believe you're already gonna be 16.. time is a bastard." I chuckled. Lianna hummed in response as she took a sip from her drink.
The three of us talked for a while before we parted ways and I headed home for the night.
As I walked into my apartment, my phone rang, and I picked up, but before I could answer I was cut off.
"Hello Arrow." Bernard said in a tired voice.
"What's up? Did something happen?"
"Sorry to bother you while you're off, but we have a bank robbery at WEP bank on the corner of 1st and 2nd street."
"Right. I'll be there." I replied. Not like I was gonna sleep tonight anyways. I hopped back in my car and drove there as fast as I can

"Oh good, the losers here. Now let's go." Cam said in a semi-bored tone as she saw me. Her and Clove just watched me approach.
"I know you missed me." I walked up and put an arm around cams shoulder, patting her on the head.
"Okay, okay, let's get moving come on." Cam pushed my arm off her. I checked my weapons as Clove made a loud entrance and we followed in behind her.
"Freeze!" I shouted to all the people antagonizing the secretary.
The criminals turned around to face the three of us.
"Oh? What's this?" A bigger man questioned.
"The red haired kid from a while ago?" The lanky man next to him questioned in a hushed voice.
"Mr. Morrow." I said blankly. This was the second time i've had to deal with him. That didn't sit well with me.
"Yeah? What do ya want? Best just get out of my way." He said gruffly.
"You planning on setting everything on fire again?" Clove asked, seemingly wanting a genuine answer.
At the mention of fire, the woman at the secretary desk whimpered.
"Good idea sweet cheeks, I'll get my money and burn your ass to the ground!" Morrow laughed deeply while the lanky man followed in pursuit.
Good lord these men are insufferable.
I moved quickly to grab the lanky man and handcuffed him as he fought against me. I Then handed him to Cam before something hit me in the back of the head.
It was a totally different person this time, black hair peeking out of their ski mask. There was about four other people with Morrow and the lanky guy.
I was knocked onto my back, but quickly got back on my feet and grabbed the persons leg, making them fall.
While I did that, Clove got all the employees and any other bystanders or customers out of the building. Just as the last person tried leaving, one of the threw something in our direction.
"Grenade!" Cam shouted and the two of us dove in the opposite direction. We landed next to each other and started shooting and Morrow and his gang as they also shot at us and attempted to take cover.
I quickly came to the realization that the granade had started a small fire that was spreading quicker that expected, and it had just blocked the door out.
Our only option was up. I managed to wound one guy before I nodded at Cam and then the stairs. She got the memo and we both made a run for the stairwell.
There was no point in hiding upstairs so I continued all the way up to the roof while Cam had steered off into a room in the upstairs level.
She injured a few as I ran up to the roof, leaving them wailing on the stairs.
I stood on the roof as Mr. Morrow and another man approached. They were so confident that they had got me since I was currently cornered on the roof. So I let them believe that.
"What are ye gonna do now, boy? You're done for." Morrow smirked manically. The way he said boy made my anger rise to levels I didnt know it could go to. But I didn't have time to be angry right now.
I looked down behind me at the alleyway below. It wasn't super high up, seeing as this building is only two story, but it's still high enough that I can hurt myself.
I snapped back to what was infront of me when the door to the rooftop opened up and Cam ran out.
"Put your hands up!!" She shouted at Morrow and his comrade. Surprisingly the stern voice she used gave me shivers.
They did as they were told, raising their hands above thier heads. But not before the man Morrow was with pulled out a knife and tried to stab me.
"Oh well, don't miss me too much." I slightly chuckled and did a small salute before letting myself fall backwards off the rooftop.
Cam screamed and gunshots sounded as I hit the ground with a crack and a thump.
