─── 𝗛𝗢𝗧 steam from the coffee alongside the scent of the beans filled your nostrils.
It was another busy day, lucky for you there were zero cases handed for your division to handle. The office was getting busier and busier day by day, crime rates increasing as well as the risk of getting innocent people involved.

The deep voice gently took a seat in front of you, noticing his favourite drink displayed on the table.

He sighed from the nickname. Ever since you were in your teenage days, you loved calling him by that name. Sometimes you'd ask Izana to tag along with your antics.

"How have you been?" You sipped the coffee.
"I've been doing well, just a bit busy with work. How about you?" His eyes stared deep into yours, emotionlessly locking in a trance.
"My life is quite hectic. Work and work, if I'm not working then I'm probably lazing around in ice cream shops or cat cafés."
He chuckled.
"You haven't changed. That's nice to see."

"How's Kazuki? Is he doing good?"
That's right, he's not talking about neither of our occupations so I should keep it out.
"Kazuki is doing fine. He's having a tough luck in his love life though, dude got cheated on with 4 different women from each relationships." You shook your head in disappointment before leaning back to the soft exterior of the seat.
"Why did you called to meet me here?"
The golden question has appeared!
You smiled sadly, looking away to avoid his gaze.
"I had a dream last night, during our childhood. It brought tears to my eyes so I thought of seeing you again. Before reaching here, I visited Izana's grave first and brought some flowers too."
Kakucho seemed to flinch from his former leader's name as soon as it was mentioned.
"I understand if you're busy, you can get going if you wish! I'll be off soon too, need to run some errands for my brother."
